No one has started yet? Must be the threat of cold rain keeping everyone under the covers! Let's get this moving!

Good morning. I slept in because I took the day off to bake for my nieces baby shower. I need to get iny back yard and finish cleaning and mowing before the rain hits too. My stepdad has been in the hospital since Monday and I delivered him back home last night at 7. I had to run my mom back and forth numerous times this week because she can't drive now due to surgery on her arm last week. Everyone's in good shape ow, but we will have to drive them everywhere until a dr. Clears him to drive. I told them they aren't going anywhere they don't have to go. My son and husband are coming in and I've got a lot going on. My sister has her plate full too. I'll feet mom to fix her hair Saturday for the shower and get her to the shower and back home. It's like taking care of teens...they want to be independent, but aren't. Hopefully he will be released next week so they can go as much as they want.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Karla

Hey everyone. I'm starting the train-there's a new one in a while. Probably 3 weeks maybe. I'm thinking either people are moving slow because their arthritis has kicked in thanks to the rain or they're just jumping on the day before the rain starts. I'm home still because I have to be at a company just 4 miles from here at 8:30am so it made no sense to drive to the office and then drive back. So I'm working from home until 8:10 or so and then I'll head there. It will take me a while to load the car. I am part of 3 people doing a disability awareness training all morning. My part is an hour, then the lady from deaf/hard of hearing will speak, and then another lady will talk about other disabilities. I've got a spiffy new power point to try out today plus a funny video called What to do when you meet a blind person. Its informative but funny. The down side is that I show it at every training so I'm getting kind of tired of it. lol. I have a box of low vision and Braille devices from Braille uno cards to sock grabbers (little plastic devices that you put on when you take your socks off so you know that you've always got the same color pair when you pull them out of the dryer).

Hope you all have a great day today!

ALISSA-I often have to give the same "speech" to families, about end of life issues/pain meds/etc..but..ya know..once I start talking, God just gives me the words..they are not MY words..and even though some of the words ARE repeats, THOSE people may be hearing some/all of it for the first time, and MANY times I am saying/hearing some of it for the first time MYSELF, as God is giving me NEW stuff to say.

I say all this this to tell you not to shortchange yourself-what YOU are doing/saying..even if the presentation is for the 1000th time, is very, very important, and the services you provide are PRICELESS.

YOU RAWK, my friend!!

Good morning,

Haven't got much sleep the last two nights, tired to sleep in this morning but just didn't happen.

One of the dogs keeps getting sick started yesterday afternoon if he ain't better today we will be making a trip to the vet.  The other dog has a following up appt Saturday for his eye that got scratched.  Dogs are starting to cost a small fortune.

They did a skin graft on Dad yesterday and it went well he should be off wound vac next week.

Work and a dentist appointment is what is on the agenda today and if I am lucky I will sneak a nap in somewhere,

Have a great day!

Good morning, my TMB family! Sorry I didn't get the train on to the tracks this morning, before leaving the house. Chico, our 14 y/o chihuahua, was having some prolonged seizure activity, so I was busy with him. The meds finally took effect...this time..we never know when they are not going to work anymore..sigh...he's been part of the family since he was a puppy, and has "sired" many a pup. We call him the "Hugh Hefner" of the chi world. I swear he could get a wooden log preggers...We'll have to put a hole in the top of his coffin...

Busy, rainy day in my world, but it's all good..usual craziness at work..yadda..yadda...yadda...one of my very fave peeps here put in her notice..that made me very, very sad..it was brought on by an "interloper", who was hired by the "no hospice knowing new investors"..yea, HER life "may" be hell from here on out..just sayin'... (rolling eyes...batting eyelashes..who-me?...the Passive agressive Queen? Lost your papers? No idea what you are talking about")...she's scared to death of me already (can't imagine WHY--I'm the "gateway" to referrals/admissions, and she's the head of Marketing/Referrals)..what a dufus...

Here's hoping everyone has a safe, healthy day. My PLANNED lunch is in the fridge, and my PLANNED bkst has already been eaten. that is MY accountability to Y'ALL (and it HELPS me-so thanks for reading!!!)

LOVE LOVE LOVE y'all. Thank you for always being here, and supporting me thru good and not so good-WLS and otherwise-life is certainly not all about WLS and food!

Good Morning Alissa and TMB Family,

I slept in this AM...that does NOT happen very often.     I got up to get a drink of water at 3:45 AM and my youngest son had 2 of his friends in his room.   Glad I went back to my room and had my robe on.   LOL    Anyway they said that they were spending the night.    I almost never went back to sleep after that but finally did.    Not much going on with my family right now.    I am trying to phyc myself up about my trip to SA next wednesday and then back again on friday.    Before Aug. 1st rolls around I will know my way there and back blindfolded.   LOL   I am NOT looking forward to the cold weather coming back although we need more winter to kill junk from the air.    Oh well...it's gonna happen whether we like it or not.    Sorry for everyone who had arthritis....my Mom had it so bad she could barely move.     My sisters ended up with it and looks like I ended up with her "memorry" problems.   OH well...have a great day everyone and drive carefully in the rain.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Good morning everyone!

It seems like forever since I last posted.  Things seem to finally be slowing down a bit.  I finished the wedding invitation I was working on finally.  My mom came to Austin to help me and if it hadn't been for her I would still be gluing rhinestones on the stinking things.

I'm getting excited about the OHRRR support group meeting coming up March 17th.  We will be in Round Rock again at IKEA this month at 10:30am.  This month we will be talking about self perception.

I really need to get back to the gym.  I miss it.  I can't believe I even said that since before WLS I hated working out.  Now days it seems to help me manage my stress and anxiety.  I plan to start again on Monday as the rest of this week is booked.

Here is a picture of the wedding invite I made 350 of.  They turned out perfect and I'm very proud of them.  I love designing them and getting everything together to make it happen.  I wish I could do it full time and quit my stinking JOB but that can't happen yet.

Have a great day everyone!  Back to work for me...
