Potassium
When I was so sick last week they did a full panel of bloodwork and it seems I'm very low in potassium. He said that supplements can make you quesy and burn when doing down if its liquid. That really makes me want to take them-right? So, does anyone take a potassium supplement and if so could you please share? Thanks!
I don't take a potassium supplement but I try and get as much as I can into my diet to help control my blood pressure. I drink an 11.5 oz. can of low sodium V-8 juice every day. It has 1180mg potassium, 180% of daily Vitamin C needs, 3g protein, and is 2 servings of vegetables too. The only down side is it is 15g carbs - which is a big chunk of my 40g carbs a day limit. So far I'm managing to still stay under my carb count and my blood pressure is perfect and without medication.
Fish and chicken are high in potassium as are avocados. Maybe you can eat enough potassium rich food to meet your needs.
When I was studying up on potassium needs, the numbers listed seemed to be conflicting and depended on the authority for the advice. One rule of thumb I found was trying to have a ratio of 2mg potassium to each 1 calorie. That is easier for me to do.

A-I don't take themself, but know they come in various forms-liquids/tablets/pills. Yea, the liquid may not TASTE great, but..what's more important?
The volume needed won't be all that much anyway, and the benefit will outweigh the taste, so you can just take it forget it. I have faith in you! If necessary, put it a pretty glass and stuck an umbrella in it!!
