PRAYERS NEEDED FOR MY FAMILY PLEASE

 PLEASE keep me and my 26 yr. old son who is in Teen Challenge in your prayers.    He is probably going to be shipped off to a different Teen Challenge  ( over 300 miles away ) due to him spending time with his gf while he was out sick with mono.   They did nothing wrong but I guess that he broke the rules.   I just wish they would tell the families of the men there what THEIR rules are so we would know.   Anyway anyone who knows me....really knows me knows my sons are MY LIFE !!!  I feel like my heart is being ripped from my body right now.   PLEASE pray for me and especially for Shawn that he will stay in this program and accept whatever they do.   I DON'T want him leaving the program because I know he would not be strong enough yet to not go back to doing drugs.    Thanks and I am sorry for dumping this on here but I am really hurting.    Thank  you if you pray for us.

VIVIAN-you know I am sincere when I tell you I am sorry for any pain you are going through...but...you know I have to ask..

You said you wish "they would tell the FAMILIES of the men the rules", etc...Did SHAWN know the rules? HE is the one in the program..and he's 26. yes-they ARE always our children-and we will always love and worry about them..but..if HE knew the rules, and made the choice the break them..well..choices do have consequences...

But, I truly am sorry for your pain. Someday this will all be a distant memory, and Shawn will be a better man, for all he is having to go through now

 

 I know your right Gina.   Yes he DID know the rules.    But seriously they didn't tell us till the last minute ( a day before Christmas ) how they were going to do things for the holiday.    I guess I am a planner and it really stresses me out lots to not know what is going to take place.   I hate things being in the air.    I did tell Shawn last night that HE will have to either take what punishment they give him for breaking the rules or get out of the program ( which I do NOT want that ).    I feel that he would start doing drugs if he came out now.   Please keep him in your prayers and me too for that matter.   Today has been so emotional for me and I know it is for him too.

Prayers that things het better Vivian. At 26, it was his responsibility to not only know, but follow the rules. Going 300 miles away for a while is no big deal when you consider getting out might mean him doing drugs again..you should be praying he chooses to stay in the program...I sure hope he does. Being a parent is HARD.
