OK, I am visiting Dallas on business for five days starting January 29th.  I have never been to Dallas.  If anyone has any suggestions for things to do, I would appreciate it.  I will be staying at a hotel on Reunion Blvd but I'll have a car.

Thanks!

Hello,

Your hotel is near The Sixth Floor Museum/Dealy Plaza.  The West End is also near by which has restaurants and nightlife.  Plenty of parking and is in walking distance if you don't want to drive.

There is a restaurant with a revolving dining room atop the Reunion Tower which is located next to the Hyatt if you are on an expense account you might want to check it out.

World largest honky tonk is in Ft Worth which is about 45 minute drive.

  • Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose.  Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email.  I'll answer it as soon as possible.

Phyllis & Saundra, thank you both very much for the great ideas!  Now, I will just have to squeeze some time for work into my play time.

Best,

Chris...I didn't see anyone comment on the type clothes that you should bring.   LOL  Our Texas weather is REALLY strange.   One day 70's for the high and the next 40's or 50's.   It might be helpful for you to be aware of this.   I would bring both spring/ summer and winter clothes.    Hopefully it will be nice while you are here but then again never know.   Usually our weather gets ugly closer to Feb. but who knows what this year will bring.    Us native Texan's always say....If you don't like our weather.....wait 5 minutes and it will change.   Enjoy your visit.  You will find us native Texan's very friendly.

Hugs and blessings ~~ Vivian

Well Vivian, thank you so very much!  I was going to ask that question and thought twice as I'd feel like a dork asking. :)  The event coordinator told us to bring a light jacket.  Now I know better!  I'll bring a good variety.

Thangs again!

Best!
