Day after X-mas WLS Express

 Morning Don and TMB Family,

Had a interesting Christmas this year.    My husband and I did NOT exchange gifts this year.   I pretty much buy what I want when I need it during the year.    We ate lunch at my sisters and on my way home before we could head to Teen Challenge my son's perspective girlfriend called and said he was upset cause we weren't there yet.   That made me sad and I cried all the way there.     It was much better for the guys once I got there.   It is SO SAD seeing some of these precious guys at Christmas time not being with their families.   Some of them were crying.    One guy in particular hugged me and cried on my shoulder.    Trust me.....I cried with him and told him it would be OK cause I was there to cheer him up.    I took about 80 % of the junk food that had been calling my name up there to the guys.    They LOVED it.    Thank GOD cause it was calling my name and I was doing my best to ignore it.     If anyone wants a blessings....find a Teen Challenge and go there and bless those guys with 12 packs of soft drinks or cookies.   These guys are SO appreciative of anything brought into them.    Some of the guys are from for instance....Tennessee, Georgia, Louisiana, Iowa and many other states....some have children and families and are away from them for a year or sometimes more to regain control of their lives so that they will be better men and drug/ alcohol free when they get out.    WOW.     It is so amazing watching the changes in all their lives.   Well....enough of that for now.    BUT I do have to make a run to the Christian gift store to change some CD's for my middle son.   I bought him some that he didn't care for the groups so I am about to head out to Mardell Christian Store.   Have a blessed day and Karla hope you have a great and restful trip.   I Will be praying for safe travels for your family in the small plane and Gina good luck with getting a new phone.    Tell Gaye I said hello.   I was thinking about her the other day.   Have a wonderful restful day today,

 Thank you Gina.    I know that they will appreciate it.   Those guys are like little kids...they are usually standing at the door looking out waiting for me to drive up.  LOL  SO funny.  I usually have at least one or more guys coming out to ask if I need help.    I try to bring them drinks several times a month if not every week.    Tonight I am taking them puppy chow ( muddy buddies ) and chex mix.   I bet they still have lots of cookies left from Christmas.   I took them a huge roasting pan with cookies stacked sideways and fudge ( 2 kinds ) and a tin of no bake cookies....a cake and some peppermint bark I made.    I think I have them spoiled.   LOL  But that is OK.    The guys apprecaite everything that anyone brings them.     I'll try to make the next CM meeting.   Life has been hecktic over the holidays.   Love ya Gina.

Good morning everyone. I woke at 3am yesterday and was up until 9:30pm. So, I crashed and slept until just about 45 minutes ago. We had a great time yesterday- presents in the morning, church, then at 2pm my sister and her family came over for a great dinner and fun. Maggie was such a cutie and Bryan's dad really loved watching her the whole time. I think it really helped make his Christmas special.
Now we're still lounging around but will get ready soon to head to Boston's to meet Danni!

Good Afternoon train riders. I finally got a good nights sleep and am hoping it helps with the mood I have been in larely. It's off to work again today. Hoping it is as slow as it was yesterday. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Mine was nice. I think the older we get the less exciting it is or maybe its just that I haven't been in the mood for all the excitement so I have kept away from it. Either way I am glad it is over. Now to just get through the last few days of 2011 so we can start a new year fresh. I have started my plan to get back on track in 2012. I plan to get back to eating right. I plan to start tracking my food again and a group of us at work are going to have an accountability meeting each week. Since we work together and see each other each week it will make it easy to keep up with it. It's not that I am way off my goals. I only want to lose about 10 to 15 lbs and I will be back at my goal weight but I want to get it in check before its 30 or 50lbs I am trying to lose. I never in the beginning thought it would be this hard to get back on track. I was warned and it is those warnings that keep me weighing daily and keeping my reality in check. So here is 2012, my it be all we wish for.

Merry Day After Christmas!!  I guess the holiday has me feeling all nostalgic.  I haven't been on this site in way too long.  It was nice to login and see some old, familiar faces.  Not that you're old, just familiar.  

Christmas was chaotic, but very fun.  I don't think I left my kitchen for two whole days, well, except to wrap a pile of presents.  

OK, so you'd think after being offline for so long I'd have a little more to contribute to the conversation here, but that's all I've got for now.

 Yeah, it's definitely been way too long since I've been here.  I just saw the pic that posted with my message.  I remember when I used to look like that.

It's past time to get back on track.  Literally, back on the track, or the trail.
