Saturday WLS Express
I'm pretty much done with shopping except for Chris. Our plan last night was to meet at the dealership in NRH, go to NE Mall to get Maggie a first Christmas ornament, go eat, and go shopping. But, Bryan got stuck in traffic, leaving me at the dealership for over an hour and we got the ornament. But, the queso at Applebees made me really ill and I didn't even get to eat my steak, and then it was almost 9pm so we just went home. We'll have to shop today.
Our plan for today is to go to Weatherford to Bryan's mom's grave and head to my sisters to see the baby. Right now we're watching Rudolph's Shiny New Year on ABC Family. We won't be at Central Market this morning. I'm sorry, but I was left there alone 2 weeks ago and I'm just not up to being dissappointed again and I don't feel like eating their food this morning. I'm hoping we can all get together soon though.
Take care and have a great day!
ALISSA-2 weeks ago I got a "pass"-I was going to Dallas for White Rock.-but I did post it in advance. I totally didn't even think about CM today-don't even have time to make it there today now. I'm pretty sure I'd never make the trip unless I KNEW someone was going to be there-we're probably the same distance-in opposite directions. It takes me 40-45 minutes, depending on traffic--but I'd go anywhere for my peeps, of course.
I don't think I've ever had Applebee's queso-maybe too much fat? Cheap cheese in it?
I have such total admiration for BRYAN (and for his wife) for going to his mom's site. I know it's doubly hard when the site is "far off", but it's so important. as one of B's "first's" I pray the holiday season doesn't depress him too much-same for his dad and other family members.
Lastly-that is precious what you doing for MEGGIE-great idea!

We Can Do Hard Things
I know you had a pass last week for the marathon. And Meggie was sick. But others were supposed to be there. I'm sure everyone had a good reason-just don't like being the only one there and its not the first time its happened. More people show up to dinners-maybe we should stick with them. Who knows! lol. I was hoping we'd do a holiday get together and I suggested it while Danni was in town but I didn't get any takers. Its a busy time.
I personally never found comfort in visiting a grave regularly but I do feel like going every once in a while to Duane's and so I go. We haven't been out there since the funeral. We plan on keeping Bryan's dad with us most of the day on Christmas. My sister and fam will come over for dinner at 2pm. Anyone else want to come- we've got ham AND turkey!
Have a great day resting- you deserve it after you give of yourself to others for their comfort each and every day.
As far as visiting graves, I take wreathes every year to my family plot and one to my little old lady friend I visited in the nursing home. It can be very cathartic! Good Sis and I are going in the morning. I am not sure how we will react since it has only been a few weeks since Mom's death.
Miss all my peeps and after Christmas yall will see a lot more of me as I will have more time! Last week was a 68 hour week going full speed, no meals and barely tme for potty breaks!!

Good morning, ALISSA and all! Believe it or not, I've only beenn vertical for a few minutes..stretch..yawn..I almost got up when Richard went to work a couple of hours ago, but my good sense got the better of me-for ONCE...
No major plans today-just the kind of day I LOVE..a "piddle/hang out" day..really did to organize some stuff/clean some stuff/run some errands/etc/etc/...BUT..if I do DON'T do ANY of those things NOBODY will notice or get hurt, so there is no pressure..love it..For now, just gonna sit here, sip my warm Click, try to make room for ME, as the pups get comfy in MY chair, and catch up on Y'ALL/read some e-mails/surf some FB/...at least until the Click is gone and I need COFFEE...
Hope everyone has a SUPER Saurday. Please be careful if you are shopping-and, of course, alot of you are-as I will probably be before the weekend is done-there are alot of desperate/mean/er..redheaded procrastinators out there..they are not above sneaking the LAST laughing Elmo of the season out of your basket..
LOVE Y'ALL !!!!!

We Can Do Hard Things
I plan to finish my shopping up this weekend and put out my Christmas village, skipping the tree this year. I have not started wrapping and I don't even attempt to rap. I will mostly likely use gift bags for everything makes it easier that way.
Safe travels to those hitting the road this weekend.
Have a great day!
