Good morning! Its 3am so its def EARLY! But, we're headed out in a bit to Corpus. Its going to be a LONG drive but I get to see my good friend Nicole and her husband and new baby Cooper. Cooper is 4 weeks old today. Nicole is a breast cancer survivor and a first time mommy at 40. We went to high school together, so she's my oldest friend, in terms of length of friendship.

I hope everyone has a great day today and a great few days as well as we celebrate. I am SO THANKFUL for the friends that I have met through OH. I love you all!

Happy Thanksgiving, ALISSA, and the rest of our TMB family! ALISSA-congrats to Nicole and her husband on baby Cooper-what a great story/blessing. I look forward to seeing your pics. I have a great-nephew named Cooper-his parents are huge baseball fans-they picked his name years ago-when they visited Cooperstown and a baseball museum, or something like that. We call him "Mini-Cooper" cuz he was only one lb-6 oz, at birth, this past Memorial Day-now he's a whopping 10 pounder!

Corbin and I are doing the "Turkey Trot" in Ft Worth, this morning, then come home/rest up. We don't have to be at my sister's house until 2pm. She knew I was busy today, so I got "drin****" duty. I'm also taking VIVIAN's "Pumpkin Mousse" and a layered dip I saw on TV I wanted to try to make. The mousse is for ME, and for my nephew's wife, who had WLS early this month. She is 22 and acts TWO-a real WHINER-y'all wish me luck-or wish HER luck that I don't smack her upside her head. You'd think she was the first person in history to ever have had RNY..sigh..I figure my sister (not her MIL), who is more outspoken than even me (can you imagine???) will probably say "something" early and get it over with. My sister lost 100+, without surgery, but fights regain constantly (sound familiar?). She has ALWAYS been very supportive of me..but... the neice's whining will NOT be supported...should be a fun/dysfunctional holiday!!!

I am VERY THANKFUL for each of you. Each of you holds a different place in my heart, for your wn special, different reason

Special thoughts and prayers for those facing their first Thanksgiving without loved ones PHYSICALLY with them. ((((HUGS))))

If you are heading out to the BLACK Friday madness, please be careful and stay safe (and yes-I DO think you're crazy..lol

Good morning,

I am up and have the bird in the oven.    The in-laws are due here at noon.  I am doing all the cooking this year (my choice) but I am taking a lot of short cuts.

Mid-day I will be headed to Sulphur Springs, Dad ended up having to have surgery yesterday.  They had to removed a section of his colon and now has a colonoscopy bag which we are being told it is very good chance it will be permanent.  He is having issues with his lungs (they think COPD) and still on ventilator from surgery hoping he gets off that today.  So I will be out googling and learning all I can about living life with a colonoscopy bag.

Wishing everyone safe travels and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Good morning TX OHer'c and Happy Thanksgiving. Today's the big A and M vs TU game here in Aggieland. We will be tailgating by one, so I need to finish up my cooking. Ben is dunking is Aggie ring about 3 or so. I made a huge decorated cake that turned out well for it.

Prayers for those missing loved ones this year.

Safe travels for those on the road.

Made it to Conroe safely last night.  I-45 was a MESS!!  People who drive in commuter/city traffic everyday can't handle the wide open Interstate!  I'm not saying my driving can't be labled as "road rage" on occasion but Gee Willy Wonka!!  Tell ya something else - just passing by Bucee's it looked you'd have to had a RESERVATION to get to the restooms!

Enjoy your Turkey Day!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
