THURSDAY WLS EXPRESS
Hope everyone has a great day today!
Good morning, ALISSA and all! Hope this finds everyone well rested, and ready to face another day, with their "positive panties" on....well, maybe boxers for DON...
It got dang cold/dark yesterday afternoon, by the time Corbin and I finished our walk/run. He did 8 miles-I only managed 6.5, befor I wimped out, with shin splints, etc, etc. I blamed in on the cold...boo hoo hoo...and it was dead dark by 5:40pm. I guess we may to scope out some new routes-some with LIGHTS!
SAUNDRA-sounds like your daddy is on the mend-I know he'll be glad to go back to his own house-Bet that will be his "motivation" do to everything his girls tell him to do! Is he a good patient? My dad was. I'm thinking my mom will NOT be, when the time comes-but I bet MY kids will not have an easy time with ME either!
Continued prayers for our sweet MEGGIE and her family, as her mom continues to build her mansion, in glory...
Soooooo excited for TRACEY, as she gets ready for her cruise-but glad I don't have to be the one to get the whole family packed and ready (cuz you KNOW it all falls to the MAMA)...
Time to hit the shower, then go find my positive, spandex granny panties..promises to be a long, busy day!

We Can Do Hard Things

Work is the only thing on the docket for today. I've got to put in a plug for Kerens - we've had some positive things happening with new businesses coming to town. It's still podunk but the pulse is getting stronger. Now if we could only get us Starbucks.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
I slept in this AM....till almost 7. That is something that NEVER happens !!! LOL Kinda felt good though. Not much on my agenda today. I think it is almost time to try out the heater in my house to make sure that it is still working this year. LOL Prayers going out for Saundra and her precious Dad and her sisters and our dear Meggie and her Momma. Meggie....megga hugs coming your way. It was 5 yrs. ago I was going through the same thing with my Momma so I know what your going through and it is NOT easy. Love ya both. Have a blessed day !!!

Work is all I have on the agenda today and I am starting a little later today so I get to stay under the blanket longer. Yesterday learned how to hook up the IV and flush the drain lines for Dad, seemed easy enough, guess I will find out Saturday when I have to do it alone.
Hope everyone has a great day!

I am sooo stinkin' tired! At 8:30 last night Blake and I went to lie down in my bed to snuggle. He's still under the weather and all he wanted was to be held. He wasn't due for medicine until 9 so I kept waiting. At 9:20 he felt really hot to me so I decided to take his temp. The thermometer kept going up and up and finally dinged at 103. Needless to say I called his pediatrician who had him go to Cooks. The ER doc looked at his throat and ears, noticed he had some congestion and told us he has a stomach bug...really?!?? She did give him a shot of Zofran to settle his tummy though. We finally got home at 2am. I got him back to bed around 3 and I passed out. The alarm clock was NOT my friend at 5:45 this morning but I got up anyways. I think my plan for the day is survival.... maybe some packing and hopefully a NAP!
The girls started their packing last night and it was drama all the way around. One only wants to wear men's cut t-shirts and jeans (in Florida and the Bahamas) and was on a complaint session about how she doesn't like any of her new clothes that I've bought her. (I've been getting her shirts from the women's section of stores- what was I thinking?!?) and then the other one can't find anything she owns because most of her clothes are at her mother's house. They only go to their mom's every other weekend, and sometimes not even then. I'm confused as to why she feels a need to keep most of her clothes over there. The point to all of this is: they may be naked next week. I'm thinking that I may not care either! Either that or they may be wearing the formal gowns that I bought them last week. Won't that look cute going down water slides at Atlantis?!??
Hope everyone has a good day! Say a prayer for Kaylee as she leaves school in Atlanta today and heads to Memphis to pick up my parents. Say a prayer for ME- I''m on little sleep and the drama is getting a tad bit overwhelming and I may have to snap! lol
