Good morning folks! Time to check in- tell us how you're doing, what you're up to- all that good stuff. ALL ABOARD!

Morning guys. Its Monday once again. I'm in town for the next 4 weeks as far as work goes. Then its just a few days in San Angelo and that's it. So, that's good. It will be nice to stay put. We are going to Corpus Christie for Thanksgiving to see a friend of mine from HS. She is 40, a breast cancer survivor, and just had her first baby a week before my niece Maggie was born.
We went to see Maggie yesterday. She's so tiny!

Good morning, ALISSA and all! Odd as it sounds, I'm glad the weekend is over. It was tough and emotional. Today will also be challenging, as I am going to family court to be a "character witness" for a long time friend of mine. She has had her grandson since he was a baby, due to the neglect of his druggie parents. Now the father (my friend's son) is in jail/prison, and the stupid birth mother found a lawyer to take her case for unsupervised visits and possible custody. The child is 9 yrs old now, and a very happy child. I'd hate to see that change, so I'm happy to play whatever role I can to help-and all I have to do is tell the TRUTH!!

After court, I need to clock 7-8 miles with Corbin and TRACEY. White Rock will soon be here, and I want to be able to finish, without passing out or getting run over. I booked a room, at the Marriott, for the night before, to make a "Dallas weekend" of it, and not be stressing about time, etc. I think LIZ and QUE and going to come and be our cheerleaders! TRACEY will be gone on her cruise during that time. Color me green!!

Extra special prayers for our MEGGIE and for SAUNDRA, as they deal with the health of their parents..prayers for both the spoken and the unspoken among us.

I plan to make this a  GREAT-despite the devil trying to make it go otherwise-please join me on the GREAT side!!

Good morning.

I had a three day weekend but I sure could use another day.  Dad got out of hospital on Saturday.  They sent him home on IV antibiotics and a drain for the infection so he went home with my younger sister. Not sure how often nurse will be coming to check on him but she showed my sister and left us instructions on how to set it up and flush the lines. If the drain from the infection is clear in two weeks then he is in the clear and want need surgery.  Me and my other sister will take turns working at her house during the day while she is at work.  Hoping he will be back to his ole self in a couple of weeks and can go back home as I know that is where he would rather be.

Only thing on my agenda today is work and maybe a load of laundry.

I had a really good weekend.    Saturday I woke up litterly before the chickens and met 2 other ladies for the church and we drove to Salado for a ladies shopping day.   None of us bought a thing but we had lots of fun.    We had NO idea but that town was having a Scottish Festival.     Lots of fun...they even had a parade which was really nea****ching.    Then last night I went to Azle for church where the Teen Challenge men go and visited with them.    Hopefully today I will be able to go and give my middle son a much needed haircut.    Poor guy....I am the ONLY one in his entire life who has cut his hair and someone cut it about 2 months ago and lets just say he was NOT happy with it.   LOL   Prayers for Saundra's Dad and for Meggie's Mom.   Prayers for you Gina and the court this AM that the judge will SEE what is best for that precious little guy.     Have a blessed day everyone !!!

I got a reprieve of sorts from work this morning.  Don't have to go in till 10:00 but still have to go in!  Has my timing all thrown off.  Still pays the same.

ETA:  Gina, Good Luck to your friend in Court.  Hope the Judge is not an idiot!

I swear -  where did the weekend go?       OH -  I know........I was In bed most of it....grrrrr
Sorry I really missed you all on Sat night - had plans to come but my body thought otherwise!!

(((((((Huggss)))))))) out to Meggie and Sandra for dealing with ill parents -  my time is coming -
I learned this weekend that my dad at 75+ has started up smoking again !!  He has COPD and asthma and whatever else comes along with that...........grrrrrrrrrrrof course - being the child that I am - I can't lecture my dad - he is my parent......but I did call him and drop him a few hints that I knew he was smoking again.

Yes - I am at work this morning -   for how long -  not sure....:)   still feeling crappy but work and life must still go on.

((((((( Gina)))))))  just let God guide you into telling the "truth"  - thats all that is expected - whatever the judge decides is on him............sometimes we don't like it.........My sister in Tulsa is dealing with "grandchild" issues right now and my heart is just breaking at those decisions !! 
I pray that everything will work out and HOPEFULLY NOT CHANGE WHATS WORKING CURRENTLY for the child's sake !!   

Time for me to get my head down to work........luv you all !!
