Finding a good doctor in Houston

Hi Y'all,

I just moved back to Texas from a brief stay in South Carolina (9 months).  I lived in north Fort Worth for 11 years and had my RNY surgery with Dr. Provost (great doctor).  Now, I'm in Houston.  I had my surgery about 20 months ago.  I lost 100 pounds.  I'm looking for a couple of things here and am not sure if one doctor can fit the bill.  I just saw an internal medicine doctor and was completely dissatisfied.  He basically told my the RNY was "dangerous" and that I should have had lap-band surgery.  He seemed amazed when I told him my RNY was done laproscopically .  Needless to say, I am running fast away from this guy.  So - I'm looking for a doctor who can follow up on my care for the RNY and also one who can help me with my pre-menopausal/menopausal symptoms.  I've had night sweats for years but it seems to be getting worse (and happening during the day).  I am getting up several times in the middle of the night... Not good.  I'm also looking for someone who can help me with my depression.  I have Aetna insurance.  Any recommendations would be appreciated.

My surgeon is Dr. Brad Snyder with UT MIST.  They can do your follow-up and they have probably help you with the other symptoms.  713-892-5500.
