I guess the train is running late because everyone had too much fun last night in Arlington.  It was nice to see as many people there as were there!  Had some of the "old hands" there but lots of new faces too. 

Blessings to our East Coast neighbors in their dealings with Irene.  They are to a tropical storm/hurricane as we would would be to a blizzard.  Just not something they deal with too often.

Not much on agenda at all.  Need to catch up on some things at the domicile and make a coffee run.

It was really nice at the TMB Dinner last night    It has been WAY too long since we had one of those.  Thanks Liz and Alissa for getting this dinner up.   We need to get back to having them again on a regular basis.    Lots of fun seeing everyone.    I have quite a bit on my agenda today....I am about to leave for church and then my support group meeting is this afternoon.    Hope everyone has a great day.   It's going to be very hot today ( really it already is IMHO ).    Please remember to get in ALL your fluids and then some.   We can dehydrate way too easy.    Have a blessed day !!!

Good morning, DON and all ! I had a nice. long post almost finished when *wham* power went off....was only off 20 minutes, but amazing how hot it got in here in just that length of time. Richard said city working on big transformer a few blocks away, so power out all over neighborhood..Back on now..obviously..How do people without electricity live? We have SO much to be grateful for, as our VIVIAN reminds us, and she is SO right!  KUDOS to LIZ and ALISSA for organizing the dinner last night. The food and wait staff were amazing...SOOOOO great to see "old" faces, as well as as some brand new ones, especially the "new ones" birthed since our last big dinner-Blake, Natalie and Joseph. You could just feel the LOVE and SUPPORT in the room. When I went to the restroom, a lady from another group saw my "button" and asked me what kind of group we were. I told her about the TMB, and what it has meant to me-I truly hope she checks us out...

My agenda today is mostly "domestic duties"-I already pulled my "Wonder Woman" routine and hauled the heavy azz mattress off to put a new dust ruffle on, and am on my 3rd load of laundry. My next task is to ziplock my vitamins for the week and make up my lunch meal "plans". I have not been as commited to this lately-last night got my brain "re-trained". Support of peers is just the KEY thing in this journey, IMHO...

Later we're going to my nephew's "Sweet 16" dinner-luckily is at a steakhouse instead of MORE Mexican food.. Originally my sister was giving him a cook out/pool party--wish she had stuck with THAT plan, but he ain't my kid, so I don't get a vote...ok..thru whining for today...just hate if people who pay for nothing (AKA my moochy sister) "invite" people to dutch dinners in, expensive places, that you know you GOTTA go cuz you love the kid...sigh...

GINA - thanks for the compliments. Had a great time last nite.  You looked incredible as always.  I have to agree with you... I hate those 'invites to dinner' at some fancy place and youre expected to go and spend $$ when its not a place you would have ever chosen.  However, whatcha gonna do, its for the kid,

Need to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who showed up last nite. Was a great turn out and  thanks to my wonderful family, we have lots of school supplies and some travel sized toiletries for the womens shelter. 
So gladl we decided to get together, its been way too long! Agree with gina, I couldnt believe all our new babies since I started coming to dinners. I think we may have to make a 'new' kids table lol.
