I slept in till about 5:30am. I woke up and watched more of the 5 part series I'm watching- its "50 Documentaries to see before you die" and its a countdown of good documentaries. I love documentaries so I've been taping the segments and also keeping a list of documentaries I want to see. I might have to join Netflix or something to actually see them.

Bryan's flight gets in at 8:50am this morning. Tonight is the dinner so that's what is on our agenda for today. I can't wait to see folks tonight. I've got activities for the kiddos. Should be lots of fun.

Take care and have a great day!

Good morning Alissa...

Today is the day I have been waiting for...packing...but it is also coming on a very difficult weekend for my family as well.  Yesterday I received 'that' phone call from my cousin in Gulfport, Ms.   It turns out that my aunt (Mom's sister) in Lafayette, LA died on Thursday and the funeral is this afternoon.  She had celebrated her 90th birthday this past March.  The last few years she had lived in a nursing home because of her Alzheimer's.  My sister & her husband left last night, and several other cousins will be there.  As much as I wanted to go, it would have been almost impossible for me to go.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday.

NORMA-my deepest sympathy for you and your family. There is no deeper loss than the loss of a loved one, IMHO, regardless of their age/cir****tances. Your life is never quite the same, without that person being physically present. I'm sure your "people" will absolutely understand why the timing prevents you from being there, in person. ((((HUGS))))

Thank you Gina...I knew you would understand my feelings.  She was always such a sweet dear Aunt to me.  It is because of her that I know that I CAN find that one special person to be the love of my life.  We all loved her for fun and wacky ways...and it is those memories that I will always have.

Happy Saturday morning, my TMB peeps!! If I sound a bit too "perky", blame it on the caffeine..I've been up since 1am. I took the "on call", to help out a co-worker, and one of our little guys went to Heaven this morning, after a hard won fight. He happened to live closer to me than the majority of our patients, which which good, so I could get there faster. His family "did really well"..as well as they could, of course..it's always hard..some nurses can just go home and sleep afterward-I never can-too revved up, I guess, from the emotional energy, etc--and the paperwork..lol...

Had a great play date with TRACEY and Baby Blake, at McDonald's yesterday. BB is much smarter than the average 7 month old--OF COURSE--and I think he recognizes his GiGi now (that look of terror gives it away)...

I'm taking my 4 yr old nephew, Brayden, to a birthday party at Chik fil a afterwhile. I am such a glutton for punishment--kids and indoor playgrounds..YIKES !! After that, back home, for domestic duty, till time to get ready and go to the TMB dinner... Hope everyone has a SUPER Saturday!!

Good morning.

Norma, I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. Aunts are hard to lose. They bring back special memories. Prayers for your family.

I've got to work in my yard and clean house today. It will keep me busy all day. It will be the last weekend that I have the opportunity to be home until October on a weekend. I'll be gone to Aggie games/tailgating 3 weekends and in NOLA the other one in September. September will fly by!

Hope the DfW OH dinner is fun for all.

Have a good Saturday.
