Newbie
Hi! I’m a newbie to the Texas Message Board. I had a VSG on February 28, 2011 in San Antonio. It has been an amazing experience. I’m losing and feeling so much better, but I’m almost 6 months out and not where I would like to be. What are you doing to keep motivated and to stay on track? What are you eating? How much do you exercise? Thanks so much for any advice and support.
Sandra
Hi Sandra. Welcome to the TX OH board. I had RNY, not VSG. There are others on here with sleeves who are very successful. Just follow the general rules your surgeon gave you. Lots of protein most likely, stay away from sweets and carbs. Eat protein first, then veggies.
Make sure you are doing some type of exercise. Shake up your eating if you eat the same thing all the time or change up exercise if you already exercise.. It will work!

Hi Sandra!! Welcome to the TMB. Nice to have you here. :)
As for suggestions, all I can say is "what Karla said." LOL I have nothing else to add......other than to make sure you have support - either in person or on-line or both. Support is key in the process. It helps to have others who understand what you are going thru every day.
Again, WELCOME!
