VIVIAN-I'm 54, and there's days I'm STILL a kid in so many ways..that's why I'm so grateful to a CHILD of God. As for YOUR child, may God give YOU the strength to ALLOW him to be an ADULT. I have not faced the challenges you face, and have not walked in your shoes, so CANNOT say "I know how you feel", but HE knows how you feel, and will walk EVERY step WITH you, but you KNOW that ALREADY, so I will shut up, except to say I hope you KNOW you are in my daily thoughts and prayers.

We Can Do Hard Things
Good morning everyone,
Had a good weekend, did some shoe shopping Saturday and grocery shopping Sunday.
Starting packing for vacation and notice I have more room in the suitcase now that my clothes are smaller.
Work is on the agenda, it's a 3 day work week for me so it's going to be a busy 3 days trying to get everything done.
Praying for you Viv.
Have a great day!

Morning!
I'm like Gina, where did the weekend go! Not feeling to spiffy this morning, I'm nauseated and trying to get a protein shake in, not working well at all.
We have a BUSY week ahead of us, today is the only afternoon we don't have something to do. Then next weekend is finalizing stuff for school as we begin the new year on August 15th. My boys aren't ready for school and in reality mom isn't either. I do NOT look forward to all that homework.
Y'all stay hydrated, I know I'm struggling to drink enough.
I'm also ready getting worried about my weight, this morning I was down again and I'm eating. Really stumped as to why I'm not putting on a few lbs or at least not losing any more. I look puny, boney and my clothes are all too big. I don't have money to buy more and finding pants suck. I have been wearing dresses mostly lately so I don't look like a hobo. Mom took in a couple pair of pants this weekend. I'll take any ideas of how else to stop this.

DANA-no doubt the heat-and stress-and culprits-at least, in part, to your continued weight loss problem...Ideas? Lemme think..You'd think I'd be FULL of ideas on how to GAIN weight, but I know you need HEALTHY ones...Handful of trail mix, several times a day (even the kind with chocolate, if you can tolerate small amts)....a scoop of ice cream in your shake (again, if YOU can tolerate)...a cheese stick, in place of every 3rd cigarette (knew THAT was coming-didn't you???...lol)...Since you obviously can't eat large amts at any one sitting, I'd guess "grazing" is your best bet-but PLANNED grazing, of course-as I know you are scared of falling into "bad habits". Remember how we used to be so faithful to our fitday? What about if you did a "perfect" 1500-2000 cal menu ahead of time, truly stuck to it for a week..and see what your weight does?

Thanks Gina!
Some of your ideas mirror ideas I've gotten from others, well except the cig and cheese, LOL.
I don't know if I can get in 1500-2000 calories per day, I'm logging today to see where I end up at. It's funny you mentioned ice cream because everyone that I've asked said "eat ice cream". I've never been much of an ice cream eater except ice cream sandwiches and I don't know how it will affect me but I'm willing to try.......at home, of course.
It's been suggested also that I buy heavy cream for my coffee instead of the dry creamer I use, more fat and actually less lactose (which oftentimes makes me bloated, as does too many white carbs).
I'm going to log in my foods the rest of the week and see how that goes.
