WHERE IS GINA???

 Ok....I know I have had way too much going on in my life but where is Gina.    I just went to Facebook and read that someone said she is in the hospital?    Which one??   Can she have visitors??   Is she going to be OK???   Sorry for all the questions but I am really worried since I haven't seen one single post or reply from her on these boards in a week or more.    I thought I might have missed something and maybe she was on vacation.    I miss her alot on here.   Thanks to whoever responds in advance.

VIVIAN-thanks for caring enough to ask. I truly meant to post, from work, yesterday, but the day got away from me. I was laso supposed to work "4 hrs" but that 4 quickly turned into 7..you know how THAT goes, and my home internet router is having been having issues for several days. My sister promised to come fix it today. I don't have phone internet..yea..I know..still in the dark ages here..anyhoo...Here's my saga...Last Tuesday, while I at work I had a "brain shut down" ..not my usual kind...I had been nursing a migraine, of varying degrees, for about 2 weeks, but kept self medicating, prescription and non..until something in me just gave out. My co-workers, who lucky for me are nurses, truly believed I was having a stroke. I was sending out weird texts and calling Liz and my sister and saying weird things, all of which I have ABSOLUTELY NO MEMORY OF. That is so very, very scary, just in itself. Liz came and took me to the ER-Corbin met her there. I was admitted..yadda...yadda...yadda...ran every neuro test there is in the 4 days I was there (Ct scans, MRI, MRA, etc, etc)-which is good, because I've never had a good "work up" even though I've been treated for migraines for years. The end diagnosis? Migraines..lol...THe docs said it was like a "neuro shut down"...where your body can't take anymore, so it shuts itself down, in order to save your life. I was able to talk, at length with the neuro doc about gastric bypass and malabsorption stuff, sand he actually LISTENED and sent a gastro doc, to review my "stuff" and meds. I was impressed. All my vitamin lab levels remained good, etc and my "guts" are still in good working order . I have a great new "family doctor" now too-something I have been putting off (Pracrastination Princess, as always, here). I follow up with him in 2 weeks. I am back at work, but staying in the office, for now, out of the heat, and SUPPOSED to be working short days and taking frequent breaks....Speaking of which--I just used one of them up, writing this novel, but you were sweet to ask about about me, and I wanted to let y'all know what's been going on.

Everyone--PLEASE learn from my MISTAKE--listen to your body--before you are FORCED to...

 

 Gina....THANK GOD you are OK.   I was really getting very concerned when I realized you hadn't posted on FB or OH.    Then yesterday when I went to your FB page ( BTW....I usually don't do anything on there but do the Home page ) and saw people mention you being in the hospital.    I got really worried when I didn't see anyone mention it on the TMB.    Had I known you were in the hospital trust me....I would have been there to visit you.   Hope you get your home internet repaired.   We MISS YOU !!! Glad your doing better and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm glad you posted-thanks for using your break to update us. I hope your new doc and neuro does well for you and that you are better SOON!

Gina...so glad to hear that you are on your way back from body SHUT DOWN.  Just yesterday in the 'train' I mentioned that we need to start listening more to our body...because it will tell you when something is going wrong/haywired.  Remember we love you and want you around for a very long time.  Love you GF!!! 

Wow, Gina!! How scary!! I'm glad they figured it out and that now you have a great family doctor. I think that is so important. I love my pcp.
