WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR PROTEIN FROM???? (no it's not hollaring)

I struggle because if it's not meat I have to worry did they add peanut flour or peanut oil in it...
I am in need of new idea's because the same is wearing on me and doing it for 3yrs same ole thing just has to go...

Please let me know your ideas and where you get your protein from...

I get most of mine from food, mostly meat...lots of seafood, chicken and fish. Since I've discovered Edemame beans I've started eating those for snacks and mixed in lots of dished. Pinto and black beans also have good protein numbers but also carbs so I try to balance those out.

I do still have a protein drink in the mornings, a protein chai tea. I recently changed the vanilla protein powder in it to ISO100. I really like it so far.

Thank you for your response... Yeah I eat a lot of meat ok so I try... I am as many of you know one of the difficult.... I had a lot of issues for the first year and half I'd say and it's still a daily struggle as with all.

I struggle to get enough... my body doesn't allow much meat... I mostly live off of ground hamb and sometimes if I am lucky chicken or here recently I have done steak but when I say chicken or steak it's maybe 2 or 3 bites is all.  Yes I chew and chew and chew.

It's really weird and lot of people don't believe me when I say it but now Sean has been a witness of it... It's almost like my body has it's own pouch to store the stuff it doesn't like and keep it to send back up. It can be a mixed soup and say my body doesn't accept  one type of the beans (which could have 3 different types) it will allow the rest of the food to process but the beans will come back up. It's really weird. I just live with it.

I don't eat still very much... 3 years out and I still get full off of a hard shell taco. ( others please don't post your so lucky because I'm not) so getting my protein from meats is really hard for me to do..

Ps. Congrats on making it to your goal. hope to see you soon..

Hey Becca,
well as 8 years out I still get my protein each day with a protein shake of some sorts; the rest I get with food~Eggface has lots of great recipes too, I love her site and use it all the time.

Hi, Rebecca!!

I am almost 3 years out and still eat many small meals a day. I still drink protein shakes a few times a week and use Wal Mart's Body Fortress, because it's cheap and I like it mixed with frozen fruit.

I also love Laughing Cow cheese, WW string cheese, and Kashi GoLean cereal for my protein fixes. Not sure of they have peanut or peanut oils.

Hope you find more things that work for you!!

Hugs!

Tonight, my protein is coming from beef jerky, roasted peanuts, hamburger meat cooked with zucchini, corn, onions and canned tomatoes, cottage cheese, yogurt and wheat germ. There's probably something else, but I forget. :)

Greek yogurt is my salvation.  I have it every morning with fruit, usually a banana or berries. High in protein.  I also use it in place of sour cream.
Drinking shakes leaves me unsatisfied.  I always have a protein bar in my purse for "emergencies".  I eat cheese when on the go...Kraft jalapeno sticks, Tillamook (sp) colby cheddar, Laughing Cow.  I eat full fat.  It keeps me fuller longer.
My health.  My responsibility. This day.  Every day.

I forgot about Greek yogurt. I love it, too! I use Fage 0% and usually mix it with frozen blueberries. Yum!!
