FRIDAY GRATEFUL POST
Good Friday Morning Everyone,
Hope everyone has had a wonderful week and are all ready for the weekend. This weekend my 25 yr. old son that we adopted from birth is going to meet his biological mother. He has been thinking about this for sometime now and decided that is something he really wanted to do to get some answers to some issues he has had since a teenager. I did some work yesterday and located her and spoke with her on the phone. I am calling her tomorrow to set up a meeting. Praying really had that goes well and he gets some much needed answers so he can get closure and move on with his life. Well....enough of that now. That has been on my mind for days....praying that I am making a wise decision and not opening a can or worms so to speak. As we ALL know this is a grateful post. A post for us to voice what we are grateful for in our lives....no matter how large or how small. We ALL have so very much in our lives to be grateful for. Today I am so grateful that even though things didn't look at first yesterday that I would be able to find his biological mom.....it did finally happen. Grateful for my Faith and answered prayers. Grateful for my WLS, all the choices for different WLS, my life and health, my husband and 3 sons, God's blessings of another day for me to live my life and make better choices with foods and whatever comes my way. Grateful for my 2 adopted sons and my 1 biological son. Grateful for Obesity Help and all the different message boards and for the upcoming OH Conference in New Orleans, La. Sept 9-10. Thank you Janet. I am calling her in a little bit to set up the meeting. Hopefully we can do it this evening. I have my Support Group tomorrow so tomorrow may be impossible for me to get them together. She was a little scared when I spoke with her because of her lifestyle and his issues. I told her that he wouldn't lay a hand on her and she had nothing to fear because I would be with him. BTW.....I met her and she gave him to me in the hospital when he was born. Please keep us in your prayers that she will say the right things to influence him in the right direction, Praying still for you and Jim.
