Father's Day Sunday Express

All aboard!!!

Happy Fathers Day...whether you are a 'real' dad, step-dad, or a fur child dad...it is a very important JOB!!  And if your dad has passed away, please visit/talk with him today...he is still there for that.

Today I will be going to North Georgia to visit with mine.  Yes, I will be asked the same four questions that he always ask me, and he will ask me those same four questions several times...but I know in his own way that he still loves me.

Good morning. NORMA and all!

Something NORMA just said, made my brain think (ouch)..yes, often, older folks WILL ask the SAME questions over and over-but it's the FIRST time for them, EACH time, so TRY to just answer pleasantly..the 100th time (it takes practice). Something else her post inspired in me: As many of us are without "physical" fathers now-there are also many fathers without "physical" children who will feel very lost  and "left out" today. Do you know any? Neighbors? Uncles? Your local WalMart greeter? For me, it's the little man down the street-we always speak when I'm out walking, and I know enough to know he had one daughter, who is now in Heaven, and I never see cars at his house. Not sure WHAT I'm going to do--maybe just a card-maybe a card and something he can plant in his beautiful yard. I feel less lonely, for MY dad, just making this "plan". Then I'll go to the cemetary and tell Pop what I did.

We had a FAB-U-LOUS turn out at the Ft Worth support group "reunion" meeting yesterday-we kept adding to add tables, out on the patio. MANY thanks to all who came-we even got to hug JOHN and SHERRY-who drove 6 HOURS to be there!!! Ok..Click cup empty..time to get my day started...

Good morning. Happy fathers day to all the dad's on TX OH.

I'm in Aggieland and will be meeting my dad and sister here for lunch today. Ben and I need to get in his new apt. When the roommate gets back home later and have some packing up to do in the old one. Going to go walk now before it gets too hot. have a good day.

Good morning. It feels like it should be way later than it was. I woke up early and napped so that's probably why it feels later. Chris and I are enjoying a lazy morning-last minute laundry and watching the 3 Wipeouts we have taped over the last few weeks. We might go to the grocery store but then again my knee is hurting me. I did some house cleaning last night- probably over did it but I didn't want Bryan to come home to a dirty house. He's only home for 24 hours this week before he leaves again. His flight gets in a midnight Thursday morning and leaves again Friday night.

Happy Father Day to all the Dads out there!! Whether you are an adoptive,bonus(step),biological or substitute! Whether you are a father to 2 or 4 legged children. Part  time or full time you make a difference in their lives.

Thanks to all the men who stood in as my Dad when he couldn't be there. To those who treatedme as a daughter. And to my own Dad, who although I didn't get to really know him till late in life, I am glad I was able to get to know him and love him and forgive his faults as he forgave mine!!


It is never too late or unimportant to get to know your Dad!!

 Good Morning Norma and TMB,

Happy Father's Day to our TMB and all other Dad's.   Not sure what all will go on today in the Prouty house.   My hubby is sleeping in and not sure if we will make it to church today or which one for that matter ( youngest son is music minister at a church ).    I had a wonderful time seeing everyone at the CM reunion yesterday morning.     Thanks Meggie and Gina for coming up with that idea.   Such a great one.   John and Sherry....you guys looked so good and so did everyone else.    Prayers going out for everyone today.    Hope all you Dad's out there are treated as special as you should be.   Have a blessed day today.
