Do you think I might be on Cloud Nine?!?!

As some of you know, I am trying to sell my house. Well, so far this week it has been shown three times, with the fourth time schedule for tomorrow!!!   When I left for work this morning, there were only two showings for this week....now, I have four for the week.  That does make me feel good, because in the immediate past two weeks, it was only shown twice. Possible reasons for it not being shown...very slow all over Atlanta, school got out Memorial Day weekend and every one took their vacation then that had school age children, 15 days straight of 90+ degree weather. All these reasons/issues have changed this past week.

As if that is not enough to contend with, I am trying to relocate out of the Metro Atlanta area. Two weeks ago I mailed out 60 resumes to my target area of where I want to relocate to. Basically a 'cold' calling resume with an open end employment day by December. CPA firms dont hire anyone actually during tax season as they dont have time for interviewing...they are all busy doing corporate and personal tax work. The resumes were sent to CPA firms of all various sizes.. sole practioner to those having several partners in the firm. Four have since been returned back to me by the Post Office as undeliverable, BUT today I received an email from one firm expressing an interest in interviewing me when I am there on vacation in July, and then when I was leaving the hair salon that I go to late this afternoon, I got a phone call from another firm wanting to set up an interview time for that week also. Now I am really on Cloud Nine.

My only 'problem' that I see might happen...the house sells before I am scheduled for my vacation (in this same target area), If that should happen, I will immediately call the firms expressing an interest in me to see if we can move up the interview times, so that I can make a very quick trip for the interview.

So you see folks, things might be looking up for me....damn I hope so!!!

Good luck to you on both accounts....the home selling and the relocating and getting a new job.   I know that they will see your potential and hire you on the spot.   Good luck to you Norma.   Please keep us posted on what happens with both.

I just had Breaking News a little bit ago!!!

The realtor today that showed my house was showing it to the wife.  She called to schedule another showing for the husband to see it.  We might have that one good showing!!!

So, now it is being shown at 10, then at 11-12...what shall I do with two hours on my hands, and they want me out of the house when showing it...I guess I will go shoe shopping...what do you think???

Do you know how hard it is to find shoes for interviewing that arent completely sandals or flipflops??  Very difficult.

You could always stay at one of those extended stay hotels if it was just a matter of weeks in between the 2. Good luck- I'm saying prayers and swinging chickens!

I bet you are on Cloud Nine. That is wonderful news. Hope something good comes from the house showings and the job interviews.
