Lydia.....the sleeve is a awesome surgery.   I know lots of people who have had it and are extremely successful with their weight loss.

Hi LYDIA! Like VIVIAN said-we know several people who have has the sleeve done, and have been wildly successful. I will text one I am closest to, today, and see if she has time to come here and share her experiences ASAP. She travels, with her job, so be patient, please!

And WELCOME to the TMB !!

 Hi there,
I just got sleeved on the first of this month.  I'm still learning a lot.  But, I recommend you visit the Vertical Sleeve Gast forum for additional info.

Hi Lydia, I was sleeved 3 months ago, and I love it!!  I would do it all again in a heartbeat.  My surgery was uneventful, and my recovery has been effortless.  I know there are others that haven't been as lucky, but each case is different.  I"ve lost about 54 pounds since surgery, and 74 pounds since my consult with my surgeon.  I can eat just about anything I want, albeit very small amounts.  I don't eat starches like bread, pasta, potatoes and rice, but I also don't miss them.
I've very happy with my decision to have the sleeve instead of the RNY, and thank you to my insurance for finally recognizing the sleeve as a viable procedure.  I wish you the best of luck with your decision.
