Thanks to all our veterans for their service to our country. Today is a very special day to my Dad, as a veteran of WW II and Korean Conflict. At one point during WW II, my Dad was able to meet up with his two older brothers while serving overseas. Just so happened that they all were at the same place at the same time.
Well...I can say that I have finally received that elusive 'offer' on my house. I seriously doubt that we will come to terms on the price. They offered 33.5K lower than my listing price, with me to pay 6.5K of the closing costs. They must have been in 'dreamland' to offer that kind of money. I countered back with 2.5K lower than listing price, with me to pay the 6.5K in closing costs. So, as you can see...we are very far apart, and I wont budge from this counteroffer.

NORMA-I do not pretend to know anything about "the real estate world", but that seems more like an INSULT than an OFFER to me. What was the agent even thinking (besides a big ole % cha-ching???)..geez..people never cease to amaze me...Good for you for sticking to your guns. The RIGHT buyer IS out there!!

We Can Do Hard Things
I had been wanting an offer to come through, just did not expect it to be that LOW!!! The agent only did what the buyer wanted him to do. There is a house with my floor plan very close to the entrance of the subdivision with a much lower price, but it smells like 'doggy'...that seller might welcome this offer.
I am not willing to give up my entire equity in this house for this offer, and that is basically what I would be doing. It is the beginning of summer (the season for houses to sell), my house has had LOTS of activity, it is priced very competively, and I am going to stick to my guns. Technically I dont have to sell my house since I will not be moving to Texas, but I am wanting to relocate.
So now I am praying that the right price offer will come through for me.

Well crap!!! Youngest grandson is comming in from Achorage ( April and kids do know it is a surprise) and he is spending the night fri and we are going to get up at the butt crack of dawn to go to Fossil Rim!! With graduation and work that is the only time we get him to ourselves!! Ken has not seen him in 4yrs amd me 6yrs!! Maybe we can meet for dinner one night after I get back from Cleveland!!
