SUPPORT GROUP IN HOUSTON?

 Hi all, forgive me.. I'm sure it has been asked before. Are there any WLS specific groups in Houston? I know of the DS group. Are there any band, bypass, or sleeve groups (not related to a surgeon or hospital)? Thanks so much!

There are several groups in and around Houston from OH Katy Crew to Pasadena Possie in Pasadena  we represent all forms of WLS everyone is welcome usually have a topic to discuss. Pasadena group meets 2nd Mon. at Panera Bread Bltwy 8 at Fairmont Parkwy near Target. We meet 6:30-8:00p not sure about Katy Crew but put a shout out  to Sean Nichols . Also OH coffee 2nd Sat.9:30a at Starbucks across from Baybrook Mall in front of Ross in Webster /45so. exit Bay Area Blvd.  University General Hospital in Houston also has a good group that meets monthly the 2nd. Wed of the month   at 6:30-8:00p. 610 W to Fannin just past Reliant Cntr. across from Womens Hospital . Everyone no matter where you had surgery or by who  is welcome and all surgeries represented. They also discuss a topic and have a nutritionist and councelor monthly for questions.    I also belong to a group in Alvin that meets 3rd Sat 1:30p-3:00p  at Casa Ole Hwy6/Hwy35 bands and RNYs in that group. That one meets this week. I think there is also a group in Sugarland but not sure of the details. Would be good if everyone can chime in to comply a new list for OH.

 Miss Jean, you are a doll. Thank you. I know a bariatric dietitian with experience that is really interested in helping out with a Houston support group. I think Katy, Pasadena and Baybrook may be a lttle far.. I wonder if we could get a more central group together for lunch or dinner once per month on the weekend.. 

I'm game, I just need to know way in advance for scheduling my work. I'm sure there are others who would be interested  in an evening out since week nights are short with families and functions and work.

This sounds great as i am also looking for a support group in houston i am on the north side i just had my surgery on the 23rd and the only group i know of is the one at willowbrook methodist hospital u can even do a phone in for that one. I have joined yet but plan on trying.
