He did my ex-wife's RNY.  Liked him.  Good office crew too.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

I have used him for two surgeries...He revised me from gastroplasty to RNY in 09 and then fixed 5 hernia's last year.

He is a great surgeon. I have lost 110 lb's in 1 1/2 years  since surgery. I have made friends with at least 3 people that used him and all of us have done very well in our wt. loss. One lady is over 6 years out and still looks great. And she is "older" not elderly, but older.

I will be happy to answer any questions that I can.

I have had 3 surgeries with Dr. Babineau - plus my hubby had 1.

Hubby's RNY went fabulous - not a single complication - is 3 years out and maintaining goal weight with no problems.

I had a lapband in 2008 - had a slip (while pregnant)  had band replaced October 2009 -  my body apparently didn't like the band - was no fault of dr. babineaus and he did everything in the world to help me be successful but i just had alot of trouble.  Oct 2010 - we revised me to a sleeve!!  Life has been fabulous since!!! 230 was my highest --  was right around 205 i think when sleeved - at 155 now.  has been a breeze!  I  would recommend Dr. Babineau to anyone - he's a great dr. and the sleeve has been a fantastic tool for me! His staff is also fantastic!! Especially Lindsey!

band 4/18/08 slipped band 10/15/09.  further band complications --revision from band to sleeve 10/21/10.  Starting Weight - 230 Rev. surg wt - 203 Current - 147 Goal - 130

Banded by Babineau in March 09.  Have lost approx. 200 lbs.

When I was banded, Cathi was his NP and wouldn't give me good post-op pain medication and it took me a good 2 weeks to recover.  He has a different NP now, so that may not be a problem now.

If you are considering banding, be aware that he has started shifting band management to another doctor in Tyler.  I've seen the other doctor once and they're OK, but I'd rather have stayed at Babineau's office, but we're not given a choice in that now.  Just something to think about regarding banding with Babineau.
