Sunday WLS Express
Off to early church & SS in a bit. I'm having all the family and some friends over for a gumbo throw down lunch afterwards. Ben will head back to Aggieland mid afternoon. I will get to see him again on Aggie Parents weekend mid April.
April is full of activities. Dogwoodnfestival in woodpile to see my niece in parade and pageant on the 1 St, cousin reunion in Crockett or love lady on the 9 th, Aggie Parent Weekend on the 15 th, and Easter, aiden christening & family crawfish boil that weekend too. Should be a fun, fast & furious month!
Hope everyone has a super Sunday.

Taco Soup and a chuck roast are cooking away in preparation for a busy week. I start the week with my head on straight if I've taken the time on the front end to prepare "sleeve" friendly meals.
Another word about Spring. Before WLS I always cringed around this time of year. This season means shorts, swimsuits and sleeveless tops. I would always try to figure out how I could crash diet to lose weight. I'm trying to relearn that Spring is a beautiful season. Easter has always been so special to me. Without all the obesity noise, I'm really getting into the Lenten time.
Make it a terrific Sunday.

JANET-Corbin and I were looking at the moon around midnight-I couldn't quite figure out what was "different" about it-will have to gogle "super moon".
Food planning on my agenda also-Chicken is in crock pot-will divide up in lunch portions, for the week. Will "HEB shop" for veggies and Sassy water stuff after book study this PM. It's ALL in the planning, for me, or I run amuck-or don't eat at all-which is MUCH worst for me, cuz then I go into "graze mode" later, and lose all track/inspiration (and wake up with smushed Oreo on my pillow...wth?)
I went to a "Cheapo" place in Cleburne yesterday-spring/summer tops for $3-$5--what fun!! I don't "do" shorts, and none od last year's capris are going to fit (tyvm), so will be on the look out for some of those. Spring day is bittersweet. March 21st was/is my dad's bday, so always take spring flowers to his gravesite. Easter will be extra special this year-one of my neices is getting married on Easter Sunday.
Time to get crackin'...I'm determined to make some headway on my cluttered (AKA filthy) bedroom/bath before Ileave this house today..whose clothes and shoes are these, anyway?????
Hope everyone has a blessed day, with people you want to be with

We Can Do Hard Things
Love, Elaine
2 liters water (about 8 ½ cups)
1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
1 medium cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
1 medium lemon, thinly sliced
12 small spearmint leaves.
Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and let flavors blend overnight.
Drink the entire pitcher by the end of each day.
of course i had to change it up a bit. I use the small 'english' cucumbers so you dont have such a strong taste. Also put a few chucks of pineapple in to make it a bit sweeter, and honestly if i have some fruit laying around (small orange, strawberries etc) im known to toss those in as well. I know have to make one for the house and one for Que to take the work. No, i dont make it nightly, Just keep adding water for 4 days or so, then toss the whole thing.
