Good morning! Its the Monday after vacation and its time to get back on track with food. What sort of things do you do to get back on track? How do you keep on track? I feel like I've totally jumped the track and gone WAY OFF base so I'm looking for some ideas to inspire me.

Its back to work today after vacation. I feel like I haven't been to work in a long time because 2 weeks ago I was in San Angelo and only came to the FW office one day that week and then we were gone last week. We had a great visit. Emily is 3 and she is so cute. Her smile truly goes from ear to ear and you cannot help it-you have to smile back. Abby is a bit fussy but is growing like a weed. You'd never know she was 6 weeks premature.

The worst part about the trip was Thursday I was running down the stairs and turning a corner to get my shoes and I cut the corner too short and tripped on Abby's bouncy seat and fell. Thankfully she wasn't in it! It was so painful and it was turning black and blue by the afternoon so I went to an urgent care facility. I was mostly worried I'd done damage to my foot problems as its the same foot as I've had all the surgeries on. They said it wasn't broken and to just keep it elevated. Well by the time we got hom Sat night it was purple-deep purple- and swollen so tight and so painful I was in tears. I went to Care Now and sure enough the 4th toe is BROKEN. And, its such a bad break they want me to see an orthopedist. I'm going to go see my foot doctor hopefully this week. They said I might have to have surgery. I sure hope NOT! Leave it to me to fall over a kids chair.

I am having an MRI today for my shoulder injury from my car wreck 1 1/2 weeks ago. The doc suspects a partial rotator cuff injury. I tell you what- I'm just FALLING APART!

On a good note, I didn't gain any weight over vacation, but I didn't lose any either and I def need to lose some, so I'm going to be trying to get back to the basics this week.

MEGGIE- prayers for you and your healing. Take care everyone!

Good morning. I wasn't exactly "on track" this past week either. I'm getting back to my normal routine.

Alissa to do this I just eat protein and veggies and not stuff I shouldnt be. It is a hard thing to do but after a few days of it its habit. I definitely track my food. If you don't it's too easy to ignore things going in your mouth. I exercise too. You could do arm weights and crunches since your foot is hurt. drink legal liquids and lots of them! I hope your foot gets better soon.

Prayers for Meggie to get healed soon.

I am back to work full force today. Lots of green folders are awaiting me.

Have a good day!

Have you looked at your "before" pictures lately?  Keeps me on track to look at mine on occasion or better yet go see my older brother.  He needs WLS - BAD!

Good morning,

I stay on track better when I have a normal routine.  Weekends are more difficult as we tend to eat out more.  I try to weight and measure my food a couple of times a week as a reminder of portion size.

Besides work I plan to exercise to my new beginners workout video and should probably start working on my taxes doesn't seem like it's going to do itself and DH dang sure ain't going to do them.

Praying for a speedy recovery for both you and Meggie.

Have a great day!

I cooked yesterday and that brings me peace and reassurance.  I know I have healthy dinners for the rest of the weeks.  I feel centered and balanced when I start my week this way.  I also registered for the Susan G. Komen 5K in Ft. Worth.  My husband is walking with me and that makes me so happy.  Sometimes I feel like he doesn't get my 100% attention.  With my job, traveling, internet time, etc... We had a date night on Saturday night.  It was wonderful.

Healing prayers to Alissa and Meggie.  May they be speedy and complete.
