why dont i feel different?
Congratulations on your new life! You asked when do the body changes start kicking in? All of us are different. None of us will have the same journey. That being said.... ... Your mind might not have caught up with your body. You maybe still looking at yourself as the same person. You might not have seen the changes. Seriously. You will find in this journey that your mind is probably 60% of the journey. Remember we had surgery on our body. Not on our mind. So, I promise you it will start happening and you won't even remember asking this question. I don't even remember my day to day changes that happened to me the first year of my journey. Be patient. Just keep doing whatever YOUR doctor has told you to do. Most doctors tell you to Drink Drink Drink Water Water Water.. Workout Workout Workout. I will add one more important tip to success, a lot of them miss. Support Support Support. If you didn't need help on this journey, you wouldn't have needed the surgery (tool) to achieve a healthy new life. Good luck. Keep us posted.
Smile, it increases your face value.
Honey, I've been at goal for a couple of years and sometimes I still feel fat!! Because you started at a higher BMI than some of us, it might take a little longer for everyone to notice. I started at 250 and people didn't even notice til I lost 50 lbs. You are doing an amazing job and the weight loss shows it. Hang in there and before you know it, you'll be buying new clothes every month.

Since you are at a higher BMI you have to remember you also carry alot of fat cells around your organs. The fat starts melting where it has the least amount to dissolve maybe inside. Keep up the good work and take pictures that will be a good visual even if you think you look the same others will see it first since we see ourselves everyday so we don't notice it.

I see that you and I started off at close to the same weight. I lost around 75-80 lbs before I was able to get into new clothes. It was frustrating, but not uncommon when we start at such high weights. I was in a wheelchair when I had my surgery and couldn't walk or stand for more than 5 min or so. I was finally able to get rid of the wheelchair about 9 months after surgery, but it did take a long time for my body to start feeling better.
Give it more time, keep doing what you need to do, take pictures of yourself now (if you haven't already). You'd be surprised looking at pictures makes the changes much more noticeable than looking in the mirror.

Have you taken your measurements? If not, do so now!!
