Dash Down Greenville 5K Saturday 3/12 Meet Up

There are several of us attending this 5K and here's the plans for a place to meet up:

We checked out the location last week when I was over in the neighborhood of Central Market for an eye doctor appointment.  The walk from the Lovers Lane Dart Station is about a block, a short block at that.  I don't know if everyone is planning on meeting up before the race starts or not, but the only "landmark" I can remember that might be a good meeting place is .... DON'T SHOOT ME .... somewhere near Krispy Kreme.  How fitting is that?

Race starts at 8:30, with registration for those picking up packets at the race site opening at 7:00 - shall we try to meet around 7:45?

I am at the mercy of my driver and tour guide, sir Bender-whatever he wants to do is aces with me! Left to ME, we'd end up in GREENVILLE !!!

I'll be there with bells on...my limousine is picking me up bright and early in Rowlett!

I am so glad to have a site like this.... anyways, I would like to meet up with someone as I will be doing the race alone.  Krispy Kreme @ 7:45am sounds great!  Thanks so much.

Shouldn't be too difficult to pick us out of the crowd.  Look for a bunch of folks wearing shirts that say THE WEIGHT IS OVER in rhinestones.  There should be several of us wearing them.

Personally, I'll have on a black/white striped hoodie jacket, The Weight is Over shirt & black pants!

Hope you had a great time - you were off like lightning when the race started.  I think we saw you on the train platform afterwards, but didn't get a chance to say good-bye or invite you to join us for lunch!  Next time say "Hey what are ya'll doing next?" - you'll always be welcome and we need to get to know you better anyway.

Thank you!  By the time I finished the race I was pooped!  I am planning on doing the Race for the Cure in Ft Worth, if anyone is interested in joining me.  I believe it is April 9th.

I know there are some people already registered or registering for that one.  Get in touch with Gina (TX) - she posted on this thread - I know she's going to be doing it.

I'm waiting to see my travel schedule for April before I commit.  If I'm in town I'm going to plan on doing that one as well.

I did the White Rock Half Marathon in December with no training (I finished dead last, but I finished).  When we got home Saturday my husband said he thinks he might want to do it this year.  YIKES!  Saturday was his first 5K, he'll probably be having me find one every month now! LOL

My goal is to be able to do the Breast Cancer 3 Day in November.  So I am trying to get prepared by completing a lot of smaller races.
