second lap band
I had lap band surgery in Mexico in 2003. LOVED it for 1 1/2 yrs. It eroded and I had to have it removed. I now live in Texas and would like to have the surgery again. I'm having a hard time finding a surgeon here who'll do it since I had my first one done in Mexico

Are you absolutely set on getting another band? I'm not trying to talk you out of anything, but I had my band removed in 2006, and wouldn't have another one if somoene paid me $100k to get it. (Mine didn't erode, but it slipped twice, and was just a horrible experience altogether). I've just never spoken with anyone who had to have the band removed and opted for another one.
Still, I'm going to see my surgeon tomorrow for a follow-up, so I'll ask him if he does a band revision to another band and report back to you. (He's in Austin).
