I Joined Weigh****chers!
No, I am not struggling LOL - still hovering around 150 at the top of my goal.......
I organized four At Work sessions in the past and haven't done one since before my surgery. A couple of ladies came begging me to start one again (can't somebody else do it?..... nooooo, of course not........).
I agreed to set it up and we have to have a minimum of 20 people. I was hoping we would have enough but we had...... 19. The company is paying for it and I get my Health Wellness initiative out of the way for this year, so it has its upside.
I am a Lifetime member, btw - made goal of 128(!) lbs back in 1989 after kid #1. So, I figured it wouldn't hurt me to track what I am eating and get those 5 pounds off that snuck back on in the past 6 months. I have the minimum points *grin*.
I found it interesting that they changed the way they calculate points - instead of calories, fat and fiber it is now carbs, protein, fat and fiber. Their new research shows the higher protein portions stave off hunger longer and burn more calories.
I thought the old exchange system (the one I was the most successful at ) was their best program because it was balanced. It forced you to eat all the food groups while maintaining portion control. I am glad they finally recognized that 10 points of pure carbs vs 10 points of carbs and protein ARE.NOT.EQUAL!

That's excellent, Sarah. Of all weight loss programs out there, I do believe Weigh****chers is the most successful and realistic. I do know several post-WLS peeps that have joined WWs for either regain or maintenance because they wanted variety and accountability.

Hi Sarah, me and a coworker are going to join weigh****chers tomorrow - I have never done it before and have not counted points or anything else before so wish me luck.
