Hello
Welcome to the OH TX message board Carol. It sounds like you are doing a great job. Don't start eating carbs...they are evil and addictive. I've been there and done that. You'll find you can live without rice and potatoes in many meals and find healthy alternatives like couscou, quinoa and barley. They are at least better for you carbs.

Congratulations, Carol, on your "release"! Carbs are my "crack". I simply can't keep them in the house. Even though I have a sleeve and have been told that I shouldn't dump, I do. One time was very severe. So much so that I nearly called 911. So I don't go there and have avoided anything white - rice, pasta, white flour, bread. White potatoes have never caused a problem but I do eat them sparingly. Sweet potatoes I can handle just fine.
Best wishes on your journey!
Janet
