Question about Houston WLS Drs
I'm looking into Revision surgery. I used a moron in Beaumont, TX when I had my Lap Band. I wanted to go to Houston this time. Two names that keep coming up are Garth Davis and Terry Scarbarough (sp).... at least these are the the two that I keep hearing about. Have any of you used either of these guys and what can you tell me about them. I want to hear anything you can tell me.... Good or Bad... Personal Message me if you want. I've researched revison surgery for the past year.... I am now ready to get the ball rolling.
I used Terry Scarborough. He is an excellent laproscopic surgeon. He did the first laproscopic kidney transplant. He's rather shy and quiet, but an excellent wls surgeon. I highly recommend him. Sherman Yu is his partner now. He was an assistant with Scarborough and Wilson when I had my surgeon 5 years ago and is now partners with Dr. Scarborough. He was great with me and assisted in the surgery.

I had Dr. Robrt. Marvin who fixes others mistakes. I had revision from Lapband to RNY in 1 surgery quick recovery and no surgical problems. I was required to do the psyche eval and we did an at home overnite sleep study. No further diet requirement. Was in hospital less that 24hr.s at University General in Houston. Had Aetna when it was done. Only concern is you see Megan the PA most of your visits.

Dr Robert Davis(Garth Davis' dad) did my surgery back in 2007.Thanksgiving day I had a blockage & Dr Garth returned my call.He met me within a few minutes at the hospital & I just loved the way he handled the situation.I ended up being a few days in hospital & under his care.I wished that I had gone with him instead.
Good luck!!
