Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I went today and got some protein mixes, so I am slowly starting to may my changes. My daughter and I went today shopping and one thing I don't ever think I like is oatmeal, but I am going to try some this week from my daughter and see how it is. Was told brown sugar and maple with milk instead of water is good, so we will see.
I am scare as I start this new journey without the support of my spouse, but I have my daughter, granddaughter, and a great son in law to support me now. Just being sick for two days hasn't help me this weekend.

just google 5 day pouch test I don;t have the specifics. I love Kroger's Carbmaster yogurt (very low sugar and high protein) with grape nuts for breakfast. Get fiber from grapenuts and it keeps it from sliding right thru so you feel fuller. pastaless lasagna is great to. just layer meatballs, marinara and cheeses!

theworldaccordingtoeggface.com has lots of yummy recipes and ideas. if you Google the eatingwelllivingthin, you will also find a lot of recipes in addition to bariatriceating.com that are also very yummy, high in protein.
There are a lot of Greek yogurts coming out right now, you need to watch the sugar in some of them as it is just as high as regular yogurt. I like to take plain yogurt (especially fage 0%) and add a little frozen fruit to it, usually blueberries, raspberries or strawberries. I have even added splenda to sweeten it a little. You can also use this yogurt plain as sour cream. I think it is much better for you than actual sour cream. We don't have a Kroger's nearby so I haven't had a chance to try their yogurt. I have also used 1/4 c eggbeaters with a little 2% cheese in it in a sandwich bag and microwave it for 1 minute. You can also add spinach or onion or bell peppers....Low carb tortilla or pita pocket and you are ready to go!

Just thought of another quick and easy if you like eggs........hard boiled egg, a little light mayo, a dab of mustard and a little sugar free relish....quantity all depends on how you like your deviled eggs/egg salad. ma**** all together and eat plain, or in a lettuce leaf or however you like it. It's quick and basically low carb as long as you use mayo and sugar free relish. Here there is a "Mt Olive" brand of relish made with splenda. Some people use dill relish.
