Surgery in San Antonio or Austin? - Need surgeon advice please

Thank you for taking the time to post. He is another one I'd like to check out. Did your mom or coworker already have RNY with him? How are they doing? Good luck to you with you upcoming surgery!

"I had a friend who went with Dr. Ganta, and I was thinking about his practce, but he is WAY south Austin off Brodie.  SW. Bariatrics is all over Austin and Round Rock.  My appointments are in Seton RR."

That's not true (anymore, anyway, maybe it was once, but not for a couple years, anyway).  Dr. Ganta's office is in North Austin, on Jollyville, close to Oak Knoll.

Dr. Ganta did my RNY a few days ago, and I've had a wonderful experience with him.  I highly recommend him.  If you want to know more about him, or my experience, please feel free to msg me.

Hi. I have heard good things about Dr. Ganta, but he isn't covered by my insurance plan. He is VERY close to my house. Dr. Patel's office is the one that is far south Austin off Brodie.  I DID go to a seminar by him and decided not to go with him.

So glad you are liking Dr. Ganta and are doing well. Congratulations on taking the plunge. So happy for you.

I'll have to keep thinking about this.

Hi there.  I just had my RNY on 1-24 with Dr. Cavasos.  I can not even begin to tell you how much I love him.  He is the sweetest guy and very knowledgeable.  Not to mention the awsome care and great people at Northeast Baptist Hospital.  The nurses were so caring and half, if not more of them have had some kind of WLS so they could all relate.  I have never had such a great experience.  I highly recomend Dr. Cavasos.  :)  Good luck to you in whatever you choose!

i had my RNY surgery done by Dr  Duperier though BMI of Texas (www.bmioftexas.com).  He and the team there are the most caring, responsive and thorough team in San Antonio!  I have met many people in town that have gone to other clinics (not necessarily any mentioned above) here in town and they haven't received anywhere near the comprehensive level of care, support and follow up treatment that I have!

Dr Seger, mentioned above, is at the same location and is great as well.  He has been present at alot of our monthly support group meetings.
