Post-Op Fibromyalgia
I am 7 years post op and after several horrible medical issues within 6 months (all unrelated) I have had fibromyalgia come on full force.
I'm curious how many people who have had weight loss surgery are then diagnosed with fibromyalgia or it gets worse? Please let me know your experience. Trying to make a connection...

hey adasha.. i know you dont remember me as i was wayyyyyyyyyyy pre op when you were a 'regular' on here.. I lived in beaumont at the time. Anyway i do have a friend that is dealing with fibro and was told it maniested itself when she had a trauma/shock to her body (IE WLS) i will pass on your info and hopefully yall can connet via email etc

hi liz, can you send your friend my info also i was just diagnosed with this after many many tests, its hard for me to accept this as what i have not sure why guess cause no cure and its just so damn painful, for me it seems as its the last resort after so many tests.... i still dont want to accept this diagnoses

Sorry to here you are struggling. I'm almost 15 mo. post RNY and my fibromyalgia seems to be much better. I do find symptoms are worse when I haven't drank enough. I've been taking Omega Complete and smptoms are better tolerated.I agree Fibromyalgia can come on after a trauma or illness to the body. Hope you get relief.
Miss Jean I just sent you a private message - after so much testing this is what my doctor finally diagnosed me with and DAMN its painful, poor ramon really sees how bad it is, my mother and sister both have this

Adasha, i found a support group for fibro that meets in the downtown area i am going to try and go this weekend or to the next meeting
