GOOD MORNING AND ALL ABOARD!!!!

Back to work today. Except that I'm off tomorrow too. Its Confederate Heros day tomorrow. Normally I'd work a skeleton crew day like this one, but my parents are flying in today from PA so I'm going to spend the day with them. I'm also letting Chris stay home from school tomorrow so he can see them too. He has an eye exam tomorrow afternoon as well. He failed the vision test that the school gives so I have to take him in for an exam. Its just 20/50 in one eye, the other 20/20 so we'll see. I'm taking him to my eye doctor since I really like her alot. We use her for consumers as well.

If you could, please say a prayer for my folks that they get here today without incident. Its icy in Philadelphia so their flight might be delayed. We'll just have to see. Their flight leaves at 9am. They're going to be looking at houses while they're here since they plan on relocating to Fort Worth this year. We are so excited about that.

For those not on Facebook I wanted to give you an update on my neice Abby who was born 6 week early. Well, she's gained 4 1/2 pounds in the 8 weeks she's been here, and now weighs a whopping 10 pounds. She is off her apnea monitor as well. We're very excited about her growth and I thank you all for the prayers.

I went to Care Now and I'm glad I did. I had a sinus infection and the beginnings of bronchitis. I feel better today-steriod shots always do that.

Confederate Heroes Day?  I had to go to the State website to refresh my memory on that one.  Is there going to be a parade?  Work and work is the highlight of today's docket.    

Yep. What's really crazy is that 2 years ago MLK day and Confederate Heros day fell on the SAME day!!

Good morning!  Back to work today.  No holidays left until Spring Break, but it will be here soon.  When we have President's Day in February (comp day for us) I have a conference in Houston, but will be with my work buds and we have a blast so that's okay.  I'll get my comp day probably in June when I'm sitting there twiddling my thumbs.  I'll enjoy it more then.

I'm so excited that your parents are moving this direction !!  how exiciting.

I might have some news to tell you all, but  NO IT IS NOT MARRIAGE OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT ! !!  NO I'M NOT PREGNANT EITHER !!    So that takes care of that rumor mill !!! lol

Anyway - I'm exited about my life right now.  I just need to practice patience and I'm not good at that.

I HATE READING......YOU ALL KNOW THAT..........   but I'm reading Dr. Connie's book Eat it Up !! and It is just awesome - actually I'm listening to her CD's !!   She does the reading on them...  AND I'm reading  Mens are from Mars and Women are from Venus.....GOOD BOOK !!  I'm falling asleep at night reading that book............its really keeping me interested and thats tough to do !!

Well - I was off yesterday for MLK day.  They were saying that yesterday was the 25th anniversary of the FIRST year  (1986) that it was declared a Federal Holiday.   I remember that -  I worked at State Farm Insurance claims office in OKC at the time -  we have several people that wanted off for that holiday for the downtown parade...........and they couldn't get it off as a holiday so they called in sick !!   DUH !!  lol.       It was drama.....I so remember that....
