The Journey 12/28

The old year is really winding down. My boss wants me to take off as much time as I can this week, but he keeps giving me more work to do!

I desperately need to go to the grocery store. Except for breakfast sausage and frozen waffles (things I keep to feed the babies), there's almost nothing nothing in my freezer. I have no fresh veggies and only green beans and frijoles in my pantry. But, after coming home in the afternoon with the babies, I am too exhausted to go back out when they leave.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Good Morning Lynne,

Having good healthy food choices for ourselves is important.  Keeps us out of the not so healthy foods.  Good thing you have some time off.  Your boss is making a great suggestion.  Take the time off and go to the grocery store, stock up on healthy food choices and rest up.  Make you health a priority...you're worth it.

Lynne,
Make some time to go to the store; PLEASE! you are worth the hour or so it takes to purchase your fresh foods! Even if you have to let people know things may have to wait because I need to run to the store.
I want to hear either FB or TMB that YOU went to the store and got you food that you enjoy eating....deal? deal!!!

have a great day Lynne

love & hugs
Mel

Hi Lynne and Happy New Year!

I don't know if you guys have this in TX but here in NY we have a home delivery service from 2 different big chain supermarkets.  It's really not very expensive and well worth it to the typical busy person.

Best of luck to you because as I'm quite certain you already know this, but if you fail to plan, you may plan to fail...........so do whatever it is that must be done for your continued success!

You have worked very hard to get where you are...........

BTW, I REALLY enjoyed meeting you at the OH Houston Convention.........

Ciao for now my friend!

It was somebody on the TMB that recommended to me when I first came onboard to always try to pack a portable healthy snack. It was also something stressed to me by my nutritionist. I always try to carry a protein bar with me when ever I know I am going to be out for a while. My family each has their favorite protein my wife has her and the children have theirs. By carrying a healthy snack keeps everyone from grabbing something unhealthy. So, it is important to keep you house stocked with healthy foods at all times. Everyone is right you need to take the time for yourself and make sure you have everything you need. I am lucky and have my wife to help me maintain plenty of healthy choices in the house. As we made it a goal for the whole family to eat healthier. I hope shopping trip went well and you got your the necessary staples to help with your journey.
