I need Prayers

Its really been a bitter sweet Christmas for me in so many ways....

Amanda and I traveled to OKC the early morning of Christmas day -  I stopped by and visited for a brief time at the church that I attended for 14 yrs while I was up there....There is always someone up there on the holidays because they cook a major meal for those that don't have family to come back and be with their Christian family.
We then drove to Tulsa area to see my sister and her family and spent the night - headed home yesterday and got home about 730 last night......all was great and dandy !! 

Anyway -  I rec'd a FB message on Saturday that  a guy that I use to date in OKC and knew from Parents W/O Partners classes that he passed away on Dec 14th.  HIs sister forgot to call me and tell me and found me on FB and my name in his computer(s)....

I just now got off of the phone with "Gloria"  James' sister.........James was found dead in his bedroom on 12-21-10..  She said that the last time she spoke to him was on the morning of the 17th.   (she often goes to East Texas on the weekends) so thats nothing strange.
We were suppose to have gone out on the 18th, but I didn't hear from him so I thought that something came up - he was very active with his church family and I didn't want to interfere with that...now I'm mad because I didn't even call him until Christmas Day to wish him a Merry Christmas -  I thought it was strange that I didn't hear from him on Christmas day - but I failed to call him too..........I'm so mad at myself !!

I am sorry about your friend Phyllis.  Losing someone is always hard, but it is harder around the holidays.  I am glad that you and Amanda enjoyed your trip.  You will be in my thoughts and prayers.  If you need to get away, you have my number.
