Can I take Zyrtec?

I was wondering if I can take Zyrtec or if anyone is taking Zyrtec? I am a bypass patient. Allergies are kicking my butt.

If I can't take Zyrtec, is there something else I can take???

I have taken Zyrtec (a couple years ago), and guess what??? I was allergic to it !!! I was breaking out all over my body !!! I do best with a Z-pack (Rx required).

I take Zyrtec everyday and wait 30 min. before eating or drinking with no problem Just got put on Levaquin for a sinus infection and no problem taking it either. Good Luck!

I've taken Zyrtec-D before. I found that Allavert works well too and it dissolves in your mouth- you put it under your tongue. BUT you have to buy the name brand. The generic that I tried once didn't dissolve. If your surgeon is open this week you might give them a call to double check but I think either are okay.

I've been taking Zyrtec since I was 2 weeks out. I checked before I was discharged with my Dr and he said since the pills are so small they are fine.
