OT-Skiing Tips
Hi,
My husband and I are going to try to go skiing (snowboarding) this year for Christmas. I am looking for some tips of the trade where I don't go out buying everything that is on the cover and magazine so I look like a skiier. What things are a neccesity and what things aren't.
Things I know I am going to buy/bring.
Snowsuit
Wool socks
Coat (I have a heavy waterproof coat; will this work?)
sunscreen
sunglasses
Questionable items (not sure if i need to bring them or if i can rent them)
Snow boots
and don't know from there?
Any tips or help would be appreciated.

Hat or headband to cover your ears and waterproof gloves.
Waterproof coat will do fine. If it is sunny and the coat is too warm, you can rent a locker on the slopes to sta**** in. If it is overcast and windy you will be glad you have it
.
When I was a broke college student, I bought a can of scotchguard and sprayed my jeans, jacket and gloves LOL.
I loved my snowboots when I lived in Wyoming, but I skiied a lot of years w/o them so not a necessity. Any rubber-soled shoes with ridges (tennis shoes) will do ok in the snow.
