? for you Texans from NC!

Hi all,

I am posting to ask for your help!  My Father lives in Central Louisiana and is in the process of persuing WLS.  The problem is he is working with a Doc that only does open RNY, not Laparoscopic. 

I told him he was crazy to choose an open surgery over lap just because the surgeon nearest him only does open.  I am actually a nurse in the Operating Room, so I know that there are some cir****tances that require open, but he doesn't meet any of those.

So...My point....

He said that he could travel to eastern Texas pretty easily, so do you have some recomendations for surgeons to check out?  I sure would appreciate any input you might have!

he is a very skilled surgeon that performed a revision surgery that a Doc in Louisiana performed a few years earlier....he also repaired 5 hernias from having had my original surgery,  open....

Dr. Garth Davis is in North West Houston, and he is very good. He has many patients that come from out of state too.
