Need recommendation for a good scale
NONE FOR RIGHT NOW............. In my opinion
You don't want to start obessing about the dang numbers on that scale
TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS of various spots on your body NOW &
THEN when you are about 6 mos out or so...........get a scale................that way - you have lbs and measurements to go by when you are in a stall - you are probably losing the inches too..............
I see that you are set for surgery on 12-22-10......MERRY CHRISTMAS !!
I'm so dang happy for you................GOOD LUCK - I'M SURE YOU'LL DO WELL !!

- Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose. Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email. I'll answer it as soon as possible.

I like my Tanita scale (got it at Bed, Bath and Beyond) because it is accurate and weighs to within 0.2 pounds. Don't know what the upper range on it is, though. It always matched the Weigh****cher scales exactly and I believe they have theirs calibrated on a regular basis. You want repeatability more than anything.
I went shopping for a Tanita scale like Sarah recommended but couldn't find one. I ended up with a Biggest Loser model from Taylor from Bed Bath & Beyond. I really like it. It has a feature that stores weight so when I've forgotten what I weighed last week I can hit a button and find out! Sometimes I wish I hadn't! So far it's been accurate.
