Wow, it's almost December! And the weatherman sure wants us to know it! It's COLD outside!

I made a yummy dinner/leftoversforlunch last night - frozen meatballs in the pan, pour Ragu sauce over and top with mozzarella and bake for about 20 minutes. Yummy!

Wish I had the ingredients for a wam crockpot dish that I could start before I left this morning. Something tells me that it's stew or chili weather!

Do you use your crockpot? Does it make you nervous to go off and leave it for hours?

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I love to use my crockpot.  I don't use it all the time because I don't think about it.  You can make meals in it and then freeze small containers and pull them out for lunches or dinners.  Try that.  It doesn't bother me to go off and leave it.  My newest one has a timer for 4, 6, 8, 10 hrs. and then when the time you pick is over, it goes to a warm mode so your food doesn't get over done or burned.  I love it.

Lynne,
I use my crockpot all the time....in fact I will be making bean soup w/chicken tomorrow.  I never think twice about leaving it on while I am at work. I search the web all the time just look for crockpot recipes, I ask my friends, or create my own.  I think every kitchen should have a crockpot...dont ever take my crockpot away...LOL

Have a Happy Tuesday Lynne!!

I love my crockpot, need to pull it out and use it with the cold weather around.  Love stews, soups and chilis in the crock pot.

I use it less then I did when I was working. (Makes sense - if I am home all day....at least in my mind.)

But, we do use it on days that we are going to go see my mother and/or do laundry and will be home late.

We live in an old farm house and I don't worry about leaving it on. Now I probably will....LOL

Love my crock-pot too.  You can even find the great crock-pot covers which make cleaning amazing.  I especially love it because I can prep something early morning and it's ready, warm and waiting for me after a long & busy day.  -- I don't even worry about leaving it on for hours, all I really think about is how yummy our meal will be.
