I am on my 2 wk liquid diet and have surgery dec7th in houston. I live in pampa,tx. Which the drive to houston is 12 hrs. But thats ok because I am going 'home' for surgery. Cant wait to meet my fellow Texans.

congrats on your surgery soon. Dr. Yu is a great surgeon. He is the partner to my surgeon and assisted with my surgery 5 years ago. Good luck on the liquid diet. You are traveling a long way for surgery. Best wishes!

What a wonderful Christmas present to yourself! If things get tough during your two weeks, write about it. My doctor also believes in the 2 week liquids only plan. Truthfully, I don't know how I did it but I did. Fear? Maybe. I understood that it was necessary to shrink my liver so that the surgery could be done laproscopically. I didn't want anything to go wrong. Congratulations on becoming a new you!

Another thing the 2week liquids regime is good for is getting you intestines and colon cleaned out! Makes the night before surgery 'prep" a lot easier!
