Wednesday WLS Express
I wish I was off today! But it should be pretty quiet because our consumers assume we're off. That will be good because I've got so much paperwork to catch up on before I start my new job Dec 1st. You know, I still call it paperwork when its on the computer- guess computer work doesn't sound right to me. lol.
I heard Adam Sandlers Thanksgiving song yesterday so now I've got it stuck in my head. I woke up humming it!
My sister Jess is in labor but not progressing much. Her pre-eclampsia got worse this week and the doctor decided to induce yesterday, at 34 weeks. But, we know baby Abbie is around 5 pounds and last week they gave her the steriod shots to mature her lungs. Last night after about 10 hours of pitosin she was still only 1.5 cm dialeted-which is what she came in as. The magnesium they're giving her makes her red and itchy all over. Poor girl. She was supposed to try to sleep some last night. Haven't talked to her this morning yet since its still early.I'm just praying for a healthy mama and baby.

I'm working today. The trouble with having off two days is having to do 5 days work in 3!
I'm not a fan of turkey. Never was, and really have trouble eating it since my WLS. Yesterday the teachers at the daycare invited me to eat with them at their luncheon, and I made the mistake of eating two little bitty pieces of turkey, and was miserable for hours after. It just won't go down!
My mom is cooking dinner tomorrow so I don't have to do any cooking. Of course, that also means I have to pretend to eat her incredibly dry turkey and crunchy dressing. Oh well, it's only one day.
I think Woogie might be spending the night with me tonight so we will have to find something creative for dinner.

I have to work, but not cook! Yippee. Going to my Brother's tomorrow and they have enough people to cook for an army. Love being there with my nephews and all the kids they have brought into the family.
Work should be a pretty short day, but we will see. I am still tired from traveling the last 3 weekends in a row and I am looking forward to having 4 days of down time.

good morning! Getting ready to put up the last Christmas tree this morning, cook breakfast for my 2 guys and start cooking:
TX Trash, sausage cheese balls, peanut butter blossom cookies and 2 kinds of cake balls. Tomorrow I will make my 7 layer dip.
I have a busy day ahead but will enjoy it at home staying busy. I will have the guys on outside Christmas decorations and doing a small repair for a facia board on the front of the house.
Off to work around the house.

Morning...up and running. My contributions for Thanksgiving are sf chocolate cake, sf Oreo Heaven (see later post for recipe) and I bought the turkey and did the grocery shopping for mom &sis. She has been to the store 3x since she got here at midnight mon night!!

On my way out the door. I have a dr's appt this am to check on Blake. It should be uneventful as its just a check-up. They are coming sooner and sooner now. Afterwards I am stopping by Williams-Sonoma to get a jar of their pumpkin stuff to make a pumpkin pie out of. It makes pretty good pies. Then I am home to make a few pumpkin pies. My list this year consisted of a "store-bought" pumpkin pie and a "store-bought" pecan pie. When I asked Dirk why I wasn't asked to do more he said he was told that since I was so pregnant now that everyone didn't want me on my feet so much. I guess being pregnant has its rewards...lol (not that I plan on doing this every year- or ever again- to get out of Thanksgiving duty...lol). Other than that I plan on having a dull day!

I get to play at a nursing home tomorrow and I'm so freakin' excited I can't wait..........very nervous - but I'm sure that God will prevail as usual............fingers- dont fail me now !! lol
GET OUT THOSE PARKAS FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.......ITS GONNA GET COLD.....
I hadn't planned on cooking tomorrow - but something just came over me this morning and I think that I'll get one of those Jenny-O turkeys (2 - $5.00) those are really good and quick.
a bowl of mashed tators from Shedds crock and maybe some sweet potatoes - green beans and that will be T-day lunch..............hey its better than nothing............I just not interested in going to a buffet.....too much food...............I haven't been hungry for days - I wonder whats up with that.
