Speaking of family, my sister Jess is almost 34 weeks pregnant and this week they gave her steriod shots to mature the baby's lungs and when she goes into labor they won't stop it. She's already on bedrest and has pre-eclampsia. So, I might have a new neice before Thanksgiving! We do know that Abbie looks good in-utero and she's about 5 pounds.

Going to do my Thanksgiving grocery shopping after Church today then we have move all the junk in the dining room to the garage so I can finish cleaning it. Better yet I will have my husband move it all while I do the shopping.

We're having fried turkey, dressing, homemade mashed potatoes and snack stuff. I am a snack stuff maker: sausage/cheese balls, TX trash, peanut blossom cookies (pnut butter cookies w/ Hershey's kiss), and seven layer dip. I may have missed something on my list. My nieces always have special requests. They always want their favorite. One loves the trash so much that I made her container for a vacation we take one year and told her eat her own...she wasn't allowed to touch the community one.
Looking forward to extra days off and fun times with family (and hopefully stomping the hell out of TU on Thursday night...I pray the Aggies have their game on and TU is playing like they have been this year).

TU is University of Texas...the Aggies kind of twist it and have T.U. on shirts and in sayings so they don't have to say University of TX. It's kind of "dogging" UT. Part of the fight song for A & M is "Goodbye to Texas University"
Texas Trash is snack food that the devil himself created. It is my crack and really bad carbs! You may know it as Chex party mix, but my recipe came from my MIL and has tabasco sauce, garlic, butter and bacon grease. It sure is good though!

Texas trash is like my Mom's Nuts & Bolts, but instead of using Worchestershire sauce in hers you have the tobasco sauce, garlic, butter and bacon grease. That stuff is addicting !!!
I kinda thought that the TU was the rival name that A & M had for UT. With M-State we call Ole Miss one of two sayings Ole *iss, or the more current version of TSUN (That School Up North).
