Hello and happy friday all. I need some guidance too make sure I am doing things right. As we all know all doctors instructions are different, so all the information here is based on what My Dr. told me to do.

First off, I am 8 days post-op. Surgery was on 11/04/10. I am currently able to drink about 100 to 112 ounces a day. The way I am doing this is with 3 ounce "shots" of water or Crystal Light every 20 minutes. I am getting all my vitamins and overall felling pretty good. The only thing I am worried about is my "FOOD INTAKE"

I am still in Phase one, I would like to make sure I am doing OK. I was told to get 45 to 60 grams of protein a day. I am getting this through the listthe Doctor  provided to me. Below is a Typical day so far

8AM - 4 ounces of Muscle Milk
11:00AM - 4 ounces of Muscle Milk
1:00PM - 5.5 ounces Pure Protein Shake
5:00PM - 5.5 ounces Pure Protein Shake
8:00PM - 2 packet of Grits
11:00PM - 1 jar Baby food....I know, but I can get it down and it has 9 grams in those jars

This adds up to about 550 calories and about 60 to 63 grams of Protein. I should let you all know that when i eat it takes about 10 minutes to eat. AM I eating to slow??? to fast???. am I having to many Calories???? to much water????

I do not want to stretch out my pouch. When I go on to Phase 2 What guideline do I follow???. Does the 3 ounce "RULE" also include slider foods suck as such as grits and shakes????

Please someone show me the way. I do not want to fail even before I get started.

Honey, first off please take a deep breathe and relax!!!  Your eating looks good and your time to eat is fine. BTW I love Pure Protein drinks from Worldwide! Have been drinking them for 3.5 years!! Watch the sugar in the baby food some can have a lot and sneak in on you! Most important ly is to listen to your body. If you feel full, stop.I think relaxing and listening to your body and your doctor will help. If you are this nervous talk to the docs nutritionist but I think you are fine!

Here for ya!!

You are doing better than me at 8 days out !!!!''

My pouch was so swollen and tight I couldn't swallow more than a couple of sips at a time and then suddenly everything was ok after a couple of weeks.

Just keep trying to follow your diet plan the best you can and you will be fine.

My sleeve was really tight and swollen too.  I could only do tiny sips.
