I was curious if anyone on the Texas board has Aetna Choice PPO II.  The dr office will be submitting paperwork at the end of next week, and wanted to know how long I'm going to have to sit on needles until I hear something?

I heard in about a week the last time I tried. Got the letter and it said I had been rejected. Called Docs office the next day after crying for 24hrs and they said they had already heard and had called them. The bariatric coordinator sent all my info and Aetna said they sent to much so the condinsed it and resent that day. The next day I got "The Call" and my surgery was scheduled 2 weeks later. Cried after that call too but it was for happiness!!! Dont freak if you get a reject letter, call your doc office asap!

HEy girl!!!

When I had my surgery I was under BCBS... My co-worker was lucky enough to use my wonderful Dr. Nick (she had surgery yesterday!!!!) and we have the Aetna Choice II PPO insurance as well. She got her approval in 10 days. :)

Good luck!

I really can't wait to have surgery.  I'm kinda scared because I'll be in the hospital mostly by myself, and my husband might not be able to get off the day of my surgery.  10 days isn't that bad.  I'm going to be so anxious the whole time LOL.

what is his pre op and post op?  I am glad I am getting a chance to meet people in this area tha have had this surgery.
