Prior to my lbl, I was doing 600 crunches a day, several times a week. After a lbl with the muscle repair, you're not supposed to do any abs until you are at least 6 months out.
My 6 month mark will be Dec. 1 and I told him I was going to have an ab party, and he told me I still need to ease my way back into them and especially not to be doing any sit ups before it is time since they can stretch out the internal sutures.

I didn't have a chance to hear Dr Garth's talk but I know from personal experience as well as from watching my friends struggle with regain that SOLID protein fills us up and keeps us full longer-PERIOD. Should we all eat more fruits and veggies?-sure but only AFTER we've had our solid protein. If I were to eats salads and fruit only, I'd be starving in an hour.
