Hi fellow Texans.  I guess I should have investigated more on here since I just dound the Texas site.

I have been doing the 3 month requirement that Aetna requires, and only have two more visits this month then they are submitting my paperwork.  I'm getting the newvous excitment going on.  I just really want everything to go smoothly.  I'm hoping Dr Nick will give me a tenative date on the 18th in hopes of my approval.

Congrats on beginning your journey! It is sooooo worth it!

I also think you have chosen an awesome surgeon, IMHO! LOL. Dr. Nick is a wonderful surgeon and has taken great care of me, and has the best staff! I am 22 months out, plus saw them for my 6 months of pre op as well... Dr. Nick has a great passion for what he does, and for his patients, and after care. I've had a few medical issues this year, and he has been very supportive and actually cared for me when it was another doctor's responsibility to do so.

Message me if you have any questions or even if you just want to chat!

Thanks I do have tons of questions floating around in my head, but don't think anyone can answer them but insurance or doctor :)  Dr Nick seems really nice, but I have only seen him during the seminar.  I have met his PA though.  Tonya is the one that is working my insurance case and she seems really nice.  It's funny I do have support from some of the few people I have told, but I still feel alone.  They just don't understand the mental crap that goes along with this.  All the fears.  Doesn't help when your ex finds out from your children(they overheard wasn't going to tell them), and now all he has is negative things to say.  I was thinking about trying to go to one of those meetings at Baylor, but can't find the info on them.

Thanks.  I have heard great things about Aetna.  I just hope mine is as quick as others and as painless.  One lady heard back in light 48hrs after her paperwork was submitted with an approval.
