I totally undeerstand! A couple weeks ago I promised myself to be more accountable with my exercise, do it every day in some form but that lasted a few days...until something else came along to interrupt the schedule. I do think we need a brea****asionally, especially if we've been in losing mode for months on end. At least I know I do, I need a break from the constant thinking about, planning for food.
You're doing good by addressing it now before it slips up on you and makes it harder later on.
One reason I was tickeled to see such a loss for me this week is I've started taking the weekends off from journaling my food. I know it's important to do so but I'm hoping that at some point I can back of from recording every sinngle morsel that crosses my lips! So the weekends are my attempt at that. I have to admit, the first couple of weekends were strange, I've been recording everything for the past 3-4 years...if you count those years pre-op on Weigh****chers. Now it's becoming a freedom I enjoy! I'm careful to stay within my limits because I have this fear of any regain getting out of hand.
Good job...and good luck!

highest weight-----330 lbs
consult weight-----300lbs
surgery weight-----270 lbs
goal weight---------135 lbs
todays weight------136 lbs
Last week I overheard someone who has had wls talking about me. She said..."oh she had it so easy with her type of surgery, her weight just fell off" The woman she was talking to set her straight.
Let us all remember no surgery is easier than any other. They all have their own challenges. And the surgery does not provide a miracle cure. We have to work our tools and be mindful of our habits. Eating macaroni and cheese and poptarts, and drinking milkshakes and sodas are not conducive to weight loss or maitnance. Yes some are able to eat these things but if all you eat is food like that and drink 2 bullets a day for your protein you are setting yourself up for disaster.
Let us all be reinspired to use our tools the way they were intended this weekend in Houston! And may we support those unable to attend by imparting the knowledge we learn there to them!
Love my peeps,
Meggie

"May your choices reflect your hopes and not your fears."
I know its Tuesday not Monday but I get my days mixed up since I really don't have a Monday anymore with my weird work schedule. I am going to continue to post even if it is an off day to keep myself accountable and remind myself that regain can not be the option. Bad week this week, not sure what went wrong but will watch extra careful what I eat this week. I am also going to try and get more water in. I think because I don't drink a lot I retain a lot.
Highest: 299
Surgery: 272
Last Week: 154
Today: 157
I gained 3 lbs!
Its back on track time! Meggie, I have heard the same things said about me but I know how hard I worked to get here. I don't let anyone take that away from me. Now I just need to remind myself the job isn't done and never will be. Good choices is the way to go and I have recently been failing miserably at that. I think I need to get back to logging my food which will remind me why choices matter so very much!

I know it's Tuesday as well but my Mondays are so busy with me teaching. The only reason I could post last night was because I was giving a test! Here's my numbers
Highest: 264.5
Surgery: 251.5
Last Week: 223.4
Today: 221.4
Weekly Loss: -2
Woo hoo!! I started tracking my meals online @ Dailyplate.com and it has really helped. I am a visual learner and seeing how many calories left and how much I've burned really help. I also got a fill of 0.5 cc's so I'm up to 9.5cc's on an 11cc Realize band.
